The Christian Knows. The Jehovah Witness Knows. The Muslim Knows. The Hindu Knows. The Mormon Knows. The Scientologist Knows. The plethora of Pagans Know.

Knowing is easy, it's just a mindset and not Proof of anything. Group A Knows something that Group B Knows couldn't possibly exist. At some point you gotta just realize that if Group A is full of BS, then Group B is just as likely to be full of BS. That's the point to which I eventually came, then chose the path to True Freedom, the freedom from BS.

Yes, I forced myself to read it. Possibly one of the most boring (and flat out weird) books of all time. God really is obsessed with foreskins isn't he?

Because you insist that you have more knowledge than people who stick to logic and reason, you insist that you KNOW something we don't when in actual fact you and others like you share a delusion of knowledge. All deeply religious types insist that they know and have the one true faith, but none of them do. Christianity is as absurd as any religion, Islam, Judaism, Greek gods, Norse gods, It's all just belief based on lack of reason or delusion, sometimes delusion bordering on hallucinations.

what part of the bible is this from?

You're obviously some other weird religion cus you obviously do not follow any sect of Christianity because a real Christian would NEVER say anything like this.
There is the mistake in your argument. Malak isn't any more a Christian than Paul was. Malak is a Malakian just as Paul was a Paulist. When Malak says he is correct because he is correct he means exactly that. It is not possible for Malak to be wrong because he is Malak and by definition Malak is correct. Malak is a reflective personality cult. With that in mind you have to evaluate the value of arguing with him.

Instead of arguing just point out the obvious nonsense like:
My goal isn't to push any religion on anyone.
when just a few short weeks ago he posted his Sunday morning sermon.

I never understood why people get so riled up about religion. If someone doesn't believe, why should YOU care? It doesn't affect your faith (I know it doesn't affect mine), so why do people debate it so much?

There's a reason it's called faith. One can't prove it in the scientific sense, otherwise it couldn't be called believing or faith.

That's one of the reasons I enjoy going to the church my wife and her family attend, it's a Church of Christ, small maybe 30-40 people MAX. We have no hired preachers, but the men of the congregation give lessons on topics of their choosing which is related to their own life experiences. No one there ever tries to push their religion on ANYONE.

The reason I rally against religion is not because I want to free people from a false belief or to take a poo in their cheerios. I rally against religion because many of the core beliefs of the religious organizations. If people were not pressing their views upon the world and preventing non-belivers from achieving their goals in life I would leave them alone. This is especially bad in muslim and christian faiths. Let's look at the genetic engineering, stem cell research, abortion, gay rights, etc. All of these are highly influenced by people based only on their religion. If there religion is false, then we are being forced into decisions based on nothing but a lie.

I have many religious friends, I don't talk about religion with them or try to convince them to give up the cross. That said, if they ever ask me for my opinion, I'm not going to lie. If they ever try to preach to me about how I live my life I'll stand up for my cause. AKA, if you keep your religion to yourself, I'll keep my atheism to myself. You wake me up at 8:30am to tell me that jesus loves me and I'll call you a f'in retard in front of your child and slam the door in your face.

I have. When I was younger, I memorized entire chapters in Korean.

It's what turned me into an Atheist, not the memorization part, but after reading it all. I realized it was all bullshit.

Also, Atheists and agnostics tend to know more about religions then believers do.

I also read it, and am the same as above because of it.

It isn't mythology though. You have no basis to deem it so.

Yes I do. There is not a single shred of evidence to support Christianity, and by definition makes it a myth.

myth

–noun
1. a traditional or legendary story, usually concerning some being or hero or event, with or without a determinable basis of fact or a natural explanation, esp. one that is concerned with deities or demigods and explains some practice, rite, or phenomenon of nature.
2. stories or matter of this kind: realm of myth.
3. any invented story, idea, or concept: His account of the event is pure myth.
4. an imaginary or fictitious thing or person.
5. an unproved or false collective belief that is used to justify a social institution.

Pretty much describes Christianity.

The way I see it, one of two scenarios is possible (regarding christianity/bible)

1) It's all true. All of it. God created everything, Jesus died for our sins, and one of these days all the saved will disappear and the rest of us will go through 7 years of bad shit going down like left behind.

2) None of it's true. God didn't create anything, and doesn't exist. Jesus was just a normal guy, maybe hallucinating visions and voices and shit.

If 1), I still wouldn't be a christian out of principle. So this dude named God created the entire world? Presumably cause he was bored, right? Tells us to worship and devote our lives to him, while he spends his free time creating the rest of the universe for our scientists to observe and say "Hey God didn't say anything about this stuff! He must not exist!" so that the "weak-willed" (IMO, the smart ones) don't believe in him. Creates all sorts of bad shit like cancer, aids, natural disasters that kill millions. Gives humans free will, which is nice, but since he designed us he had to have known that people like hitler would come along and use his god-given free will to kill like 6 million jews, his "chosen ones" (great, God is a racist too).

In this scenario, God is a relentless prick, and comparable to some 13 year old kid playing the sims, and putting his sims through all hell for fun. Then I think, when you're playing the sims, you can have them play computer games. Well what if your sim is playing the sims? and their sims are playing the sims? Then everything gets so meta that I taste purple and pass out

God created the entire universe so that he can put humans through a bunch of shit and see how many still follow him in the end, and if you don't eternity in hell!

If 2), Nothings real and man created it for hope/order/whatever, then I save countless hours in church and get to spend my life making fun of christians for being stupid.

lol, I was just googling a bit and found the best quote ever

"Out of convicted rapists, 57% admitted to reading
pornography. 95% admitted to reading the Bible"

Thats total rubish!

Actually its not, there was a thread about it recently, study was done and it showed just that, thread turned into a shit show like always but it was in OT sometime in the past 3 months IIRC

The bible is just a book. It should have no baring on wether you believe in a god or not. So per your question. Yes i believe in the bible. Its a real book. I tried to read it, but it doesnt read well. It makes no sense right off the bat.

I was raised non-religious, but when I was 16 my dad (who was once Catholic) tossed me a copy of the bible and said "here, you should probably read this so you know what everyone's talking about."

I read through it. It didn't make a convert out of me, but it was an interesting read from a cultural and philosophical perspective, especially comparing the style of interactions between God and humans in the old and new testaments.

Modesty, being humble, acceptance of your fellow man and their ideas even if they do not believe. These are all common themes for any religion in the world. A true believer does not say that someone else is wrong no matter what they say because you think you are automatically right.
