I'm currently using just six but will soon add a sleeping bag on top as comforter during the winter months. Ever since I was little, having a big weight of blankets over me has felt reassuring and comfy.

I use a Moonstone Maxima sleeping bag and a Thermarest Prolite 4 sleeping pad. I also have a stuffed bunny named Bunny and a stuffed mouse named Mousey. :)

You sleep on your Prolite 4 in your house....Mines comfy never used it in the house though....probably because I have cats though and I don't wanna them messing up my pad or good sleeping bag.

A very thin sheet and sometimes another sheet over my legs/lower body. My room is always warmer than the rest of the house, and the foot of my bed is near the window/fan.

I always leave the windows open when it gets really cold. I have 1 thin blanket i use all year around and during the winter if it gets freezing ill throw a sleeping bag on top.

I like that comfy feeling too but I start to get all sweaty and overheated if I pile on more than a couple of blankets. Too bad too I wish I could pile on 8 or 9 of them for comfort.

Yup. I also occassionally sleep on an Exped Downmat 9 and a Montbell Super Stretch #2. The thing about the Exped is I roll off of it easily, because it's not that wide. I don't use the Moonstone for camping anymore because it's too cavernous for me and a bit on the heavy side.

One comforter. I have never been able to sleep well without a comforter (even living in Phoenix in July).

I'm pretty similar. I have a bunch of fleece blankets that I got at Ikea - $2.50 each when they're on sale. It's sort of an unwritten deal I have with the wife - she drags me to Ikea, I get $10 worth of blankets. She has not agreed to this deal, so I have to hide them in the cart when she isn't looking.

So each of these blankets is good for about half of my body with some fringe space for maneuvering during the night. I stagger about 6 of them over my body, then throw a vellux blanket and/or a larger fleece blanket on top to provide the "glue" to hold the rest together.
