Total new cases in he US are now over 37Kfor the say. Something else to keep an eye on is the number of critically ill. That number was hanging around 13K for a week and now it is climbing again. Looks like around 15K now. On a positive note trump is projecting only 60K deaths so this will all be over in a few days.

While death numbers have been varying from 1600 to 2800 these past two weeks, the new case numbers were flat or going down. Except for the last 4 days, where it's been going up again. Including in NY, which hit 10K cases again today.

Either this is rising again or we started doing more testing a few days back. Cuomo said again last night that the burden on NY hospitals has diminished. So I'm assuming that testing has been ramped up?

Random sampling and statistical analysis has demonstrated that NYC's infection rate is 21%. That means 1.7 million infections in NYC alone.

Until the confirmed number catches up to that, the official tally is a tad useless, and could jump by 1 million in a single day if only we had the testing capability.
