Right, and that's my point - the WHO is correct but people don't understand what they are saying. They are saying that immunity has not been established through any study and this is true, but at this point such a study would be impossible to have completed and vetted so it's not particularly relevant.

What we CAN do though is make an educated guess based on our very long experience with other coronaviruses, including those closely related to this one. The data from this suggests an immunity effect.

What is probably more important is - does having antibodies stop you from being a carrier before your immune system would fight off any reinfection?

If you can still transmit it despite having antibodies, that impacts on how much freedom of movement can be given to anyone who has antibodies.

Actually he did less than nothing; his administration blocked those who wanted to take action.

According to the Reich, this is perfectly normal behavior for POTUS, unless the POTUS has a D next to their name.

So apparently he was warned for months about this and did nothing.

The biggest threat to Americans in all of our lifetimes and he just...did nothing.

Trump's response to any non-Trump created crisis is to engage in magical thinking. This is still going on of course as he fumbles the recovery and gets angry that people are, in fact, noticing.

Apparently Trump is getting excited about extending a liability shield to companies for coronavirus. If the Democrats agree to anything of the sort it will be really limited. I doubt there is any faith the admin could formulate and enforce safety standards that they might find agreeable in no small part because Trump is simply not capable of the good faith negotiation that would be required.

Couple that with this one and we have a winner.

Wonderful to have a fully reactive government and a half assed one at that.

Welp we were too late/dumb to stop the virus so might as well keep us in bacon and free of lawsuits if we kill people for business!

DPA to keep meat plants open? Sure!
DPA to force production of PPE to keep the workers in those plants safe? Nah.

Interfering in business is socialism!

Unless that interfering helps the business at only the expense of the workers. That's the good and proper kind of interfering.

I sure hope Pence didn't pick up the coronavirus and spread it to the President. #trumpsarcasm

Although...he could just chug some disinfectant, and all would be well. #trumpsarcasm

I hear taking the full force of a star will also knock the virus out.

And we're supposed to believe this man didn't try to extort a bribe from the Ukrainian president.

FYI Mr. Good Brain President: A lot of states you're going to need to carry in November also face huge revenue shortfalls and will need unemployment funds topped off.

Yep, another of the plethora of reasons we need to vote this asshole out.

I still find it odd that Trump and Pence refuse to be photographed wearing a mask. I believe their refusal to be photographed in public wearing a mask is part of some future scheme or tactic to deny the virus altogether. Or, to rewrite the history of the virus with down playing the dangers. And this would fit right in with Trump and Pence ordering the reopening of the economy prematurely where obviously real dangers still exist. I don’t know exactly what they are up to, but their refusal to wear masks and never to be photographed wearing a mask I guarantee will somehow someway play into how they spin this entire pandemic. To be used at some later date justifying the premature reopening and to downplay the dangers. I mean... WHY would simply wearing a mask bother Trump and Pence so? As with Russia and Soviet collusion where Trump feared to be investigated would question his legitimacy, now we have a case where Trump and Pence to be seen wearing a mask would question and thus taint Trump’s handling of this pandemic. The best way to deny something is to not take part. Obviously for Trump, this pandemic and the personal dangers are something that affects you but not him. And not Mike Pence.

Yeh, but they don't have sanctuary cities, either. Immigration was Trump's strongest pander point in 2016 & he'll just keep selling it any way he can. Lots of Americans are suckers for immigration FUD. The pandemic is another way to exploit it.

A bribe is when your unqualified son gets a 7 figure job from a foreign country when he has no experience or training in the industry.

Asking a president for a favor and wondering aloud about why we pay you guys so much money is not. He has wondered aloud about the WHO recently too. I guess he's commiting another felony?
