How exactly is apple "overpriced junk?"

This isn't directly in response to the person you are quoting...but every physician I work with barely knows how to use a computer, and has a macbook. My point? Macs are more about fashion than functionality.

Most of the ones I know and hang out with are under 40. And a good chunk of them are almost as "techie" as I am.

I keep trying to convince my uncle to get a mac, but I guess he likes paying me for virus removal.

Take a bit extra from him next time and teach him how to use the internet.

Imo, if you've been on the internet for a while, you should know where to go and where not to go.

Buying a mac doesnt fix stupid.

i've taught him the same shit dozens of times. mac doesn't fix stupid but at least they got a bar where stupid people can ask questions.

i even set him up with a limited account with instructions, USE THIS, NOT THE ADMIN.

Of course, he got a virus cuz he got lazy and used the admin account all the time.

No apple product I've purchased has been junk. It's all been quite pleasing in both form and function. I've never used a Mac before though.

All my experience is with iPods and iPads. None of them were junk, and considering the quality of the experience I had with them compared to the many competing products I've used, I'm hesitant to say they were overpriced. I've had media players that were cheaper than my iPods, and their build quality and user experience seemed poorer in a way that was commensurate with their price. I've had tablets that were cheaper than my iPad and their build quality and user experience seemed poorer in a way that was commensurate with their price.

If apple is working some magic that causes them to make better products without incurring the same expense that it would cost other manufacturers, then kudos to them. The fact remains that I am greatly impressed by every apple product I own. Even if they are making more on every sale, my impression of their products is that they are worth as much as apple is asking for them, which is all that really matters.
