I find nothing special about an unmodded P180. It does have relatively good wire management, but other than that, it's a couple of tacky blue LCD 120mm fans.

When you say modded, what exactly do you want done to the system? Watercooling?

Because if you do not like LED fans, I assume you do not like bling products. And other than water cooling, there isn't much modding you can do to a case without adding bling.

Anyway my case has been modified a lil bit. I no longer have any LED fans. The only Coolermaster fan I have left, I cut the wires for the LED's so that they do not turn on. :)

SuperTyphoon:

what kinda idle/load temps are you getting?
I am about to pull the trigger on a Lian Li v2100 but am concerned about high-temps or I can go with a Antec P180 which may have better cooling but a bit louder.
In between those choices the SS TJ06 looks like a great compromise but the layout/compartments don't seem as 'nice' as the first 2 options.

The right side of my case
Tas.

Thanks... and sure I will add my machine to your gallery.

By the way, for everyone else, this pic shows my new samsung hard drive added... not much difference, but its in there.... The first two pics didn't show it.

put my wiring job to shame.

You can do it, trust me... You can hide all those wires behind the upper hard drive cage like how I did. Only problem is you wouldn't be able to use that black wire protector, cause it's probably too bulky to hide all the wires behind there. But you wouldn't even need that stuff if all your wires were hidden anyway.

By the way, I wanted that Phantom 500! That thing is huge. I guess I'll have to wait till I can squeeze it into my budget one day.

yeah i got it last night. It was hard to get it in there with the lower case fan in place. It would be easier if i know how to remove the cover for the PSU fan, but that would void the warranty also.

hmm if i'm to hide the wires behind the upper HDD cage I'll have to remove the lower case fan, but i wanna use it to cool the Phantom... the Phantom does have a built-in fan so it might be ok... then i'll need to move the HDDs to the upper cage... decision decision...

I'm rather proud of the wiring. Do you guys think that if I moved the case speaker I could fit a cold cathode at the bottom and then another on the left side vertically?

What passive cooling kit and how well does it work for your X800XL?? it'll be nice for the P180 since I have the VGA duct set up.

Why do you want cold cathode in your case since your case doesn't have a window?

The video card cooler came stock with my card, it's a gigabyte. And CM makes a window for this case, you just have to buy it separately, which I will do if I can convince myself to go through the whole lighting mod I have in mind.

Then remove the pc speaker. PC speakers are annoying anyway. There's plenty of space on the floor, you could even put some X'mas lighting decors or sth like that when holiday comes. btw nice clean case.
