Yeah, you can do an online statement, then select 01/01/2007 to 12/31/2007 (and then if you are me...cry.)

This Period -2.5%

Personal Rate of Return from 01/01/2008 to 03/26/2008 is -10.7%

My question is, say I reached retirement and chose to retire in a different country simply because everything is cheaper with free health care; in addition conversion rate ... I will be better off. Do they cut me a check or what? how much money do they cut then?

you withdraw what you need and they transfer the funds to your bank is what I'm thinking.

Mine was -6.23% for the last 12 months in my pension (401a). I don't feel like looking up my 401k. I'm setup for a high risk portfolio so hopefully it'll bounce back in the next couple of years. Total in 5.5 years it's actually grown 6.3%.... (including last year's lag)

Ouch, I would reconsider where my money is.

Yeah, I konw.... I just picked a package provided by Fidelity. It's based on retirement year. I'm only out of college a year. Plus my work matches 33%, so I look at it that it's their money that's loosing. I'm going to make some changes soon.
