I created this account when I had my IT consulting biz. I was a Novell Netware fanatic (and still am, even if the OS is for all intents and purposes dead). I did alot of successful installations and did one of my biggest around the time I joined. Company was using NT4 with their blue-screens and convoluted systems of domain trusts and crappy syncing between PDCs and BDCs etc... I ripped almost all of that out (except for a few windows servers running apps that had to stay on windows) They got a brand spanking new NetWare environment that spanned multi-states that did their file/print/directory services as well as DHCP/DNS, a Groupwise install for email & Zenworks for management. It was one of the best conversions and most lucrative. The staff left on Friday and by Monday morning every workstation had client32. I also had quite a few other NetWare success stories and had the biggest geek hardon for the OS ever.

and then i just shortened it into one word, and you have purbeast. many people who see my nick (on these forums even) will type out purebeast or just refer to me as "pure".
