yes, i served aboard one of the Trident submarines ported in Bangor
our bunk rooms were in between the missile tubes, so i slept about 25-30 feet from the warheads

I had a teacher in high school who served on the Henry M. Jackson for 17 years.

I went on a field trip in his class once to Bangor... took a tour of one of the trident subs... I think it was the Ohio?
I enjoyed walking right by the missile tubes and seeing the head between them.
