How against a Clinton run are you?

I was just reading the other thread on Hillary's 2008 presidential bid and I wanted to get a rough idea how P&N stands on the thought of Hillary running related to hypothetical 2008 match-ups.

Please post your results after voting and comment accordingly.

Edit: YES I SPELLED HILLARY WRONG IN THE POLLS. I spent a good bit of time making the poll and I don't see it as mission critical to correct the spelling of her name in every one of them. I'm sorry for any inconvenience / mental anguish this may have caused you.

I am agaisnt her running because I don't she has a chance agaisnt any republican running because of her history. Irreguardless of if you think her past is good or bad; it's going to be very easy for the republican machine to give her a hard time.

I?d vote for almost any Dem over McCain any day. For the same reason I voted for a Dem against Arnold.

While my primary choice would be someone championing secured borders, an effective foreign policy, the removal of the patriot act, and the dissolving of power from our central government to the states.

There is no one with those values, but I more closely identify with Republicans. While wishing for a true Republican, not a big government ?neo-con?, I?m afraid Washington ensures only Authoritarians sit at the table.

I think Hillary losses against just about every Republican out there, except maybe Newt since he has similar negatives.

In general you would think the Democrats have an upper hand in 2008 after 8 years of Bush and his low approval numbers.

But that all goes out the window depending on whom the actual nominees are.
I still think Giuliani would make a great nominee, he is very popular and even though he has some liberal ideas he is conservative on the issues that matter most to Americans.
Give him a strong VP candidate and the Democrats will have a hard time against him.

Personally I go Obama - Gulliani - Hillary, in that order. I also liked McCain in 2000, but he has brown nosed the zealots so much that I wouldn't vote for him now. I don't think Hillary can win, but I think she would make a perfectly competant president. And at this point I would be happy with any competant president......

I don't think there's much they can screw up, except for nominating the wrong presidential candidate (which I think they will). All they have to do is pass bills that the majority of Americans like (and the Christian Conservatives/Neocons like Bush don't) and then vilify Dubya when he vetoes them and things continue to go badly in the Middle East.

If they nominate Hillary they are basically throwing away the election, though. Even a sell-out like McCain can handily beat her in a general election I think.

I doubt that the Dems will get a chance to screw up much. Bush will probably veto any legislation that's liberal in nature, and they do not have enough votes for an override in most cases.

Obama can make some great speeches, but he doesn't seem to have enough political experience to lead the nation yet. I also do not think that America is ready for a black president yet. Give him another 4 years.
