I don't think Hillary can win, but I think she would make a perfectly competent president. And at this point I would be happy with any competent president......

Obama can make some great speeches, but he doesn't seem to have enough political experience to lead the nation yet. I also do not think that America is ready for a black president yet. Give him another 4 years.

The same thing was said about Abraham Lincoln.

After 8 years of GWB the US needs a change in leadership. Brownback and McCain remind me way too much of GWB for comfort. I know they are suppose to be different but they have been in bed with GWB until recently.

Concerning Ms Clinton, what are her domestic and foreign policies? What does she stand for? I recommend that everyone listen to what she has to say instead of dependong on what the Republicans and their mouthpieces have said about her over the last 15 years.

I'm not against her - and I welcome knowing what her proposed policies are. Right now, she is emerging as the candidate most likely to have my vote from what little I've seen so far. I'm going to attend one of her online Q&A sessions this week, and I like what general direction she is going towards in her "I'm in" announcement.

In general you would think the Democrats have an upper hand in 2008 after 8 years of Bush and his low approval numbers.

But that all goes out the window depending on whom the actual nominees are.
I still think Giuliani would make a great nominee, he is very popular and even though he has some liberal ideas he is conservative on the issues that matter most to Americans.
Give him a strong VP candidate and the Democrats will have a hard time against him.

Yeah, and there was NO WAY Bill was gonna get in, especially in '96....

Did anyone notice that Hillary has not aged well?

Wow, look at the support for Obama over Hillary...

(Total Votes: 71)
I am a Democrat and would vote for Hilary over Obama 8 votes 11.27 (%)
I am an independent and would vote for Hilary over Obama 2 votes 2.82 (%)
I am a Republican and would vote for Hilary over Obama 3 votes 4.23 (%)

13 votes for Hillary (18.32%)

I am a Democrat and would vote for Obama over Hilary 25 votes 35.21 (%)
I am an independent and would vote for Obama over Hilary 24 votes 33.80 (%)
I am a Republican and would vote for Obama over Hilary 9 votes 12.68 (%)

58 votes for Obama (81.69%)

That is a huge margin.

But really, I think Bill will campaign heavily for Hillary, which could make a big difference. On the other hand, many people have already made up their mind about Hillary.

My first criteria for a presidential candidate in the 2008 election is that their last name is neither Bush nor Clinton. 20 years for those 2 families has been 6 years too long already.

Yeah, Yeah... A bunch of extremely liberal Hollywood types said the same thing about Bush being re-elected. I wish that they would make good on their promises... The Canadian film industry could use an infusion of quality talent :)

I"m glad someone finally got this...

hillary a dream come true for the GOP.
Mccain and Giuliani - Dems disguised as repubs.
Obama- If they want to play the black card there are much more seasoned qualified canidates out there.
Brownback: Plane will never leave the airport.
Gwb??? irrelevant, he is not running.

Is anybody else bothered by these family legacies (ex: Kennedy, Bush, Clinton)? They remind me of an aristocracy...

I wish we would do away with third party. If 50% of voters cant stand a candidate they could still win because their votes coud be split down the middle.

Nice poll BTW OP

Pffft, I'd rather do away with the two parties we have.

None of the above. I like Russell Feingold a lot but good men cant run anymore..Warner, Hagel too. Everyone of these candidates listed talks out of both sides of their mouths and is beholden to the war party and the selling out of American labor and individual rights at behest of Corps...in essence every choice they make is done for the small elite who brought them there in the first place not what the majority of Americans want.

I would vote Republican just to vote against her.

Hell, I would pick Rush Limbaugh over her for President.

Well maybe not Rush, but she'd only beat Hannidy in my world

I would vote for Hillary just to have Bill back in the White House. It would be the ultimate kick to the nuts for Republicans.

I normally vote independant, if hillary ran, id vote for her strongest opponent, regardless of their poilicies.

The last thing we want is that pandering loser running our country.

"Many of you are well enough off that...the tax cuts may have helped you," Sen. Clinton said. "We're saying that for America to get back on track, we're probably going to cut that short and not give it to you. We're going to take things away from you on behalf of the common good."

That pretty well sums it up.
