Hint: it's a brand name you should know.Originally posted by: Brutuskend
Damn, I should know THAT one.
Working in the Bicycle industry and all................
But I don't.
I DID know about the BIG WINGNUT though! 😉
Did you read the whole story that inspired him to invent something besides the wingnuts? It's pretty cool.Originally posted by: Brutuskend
I found it.
And had a strong feeling that "THIS NAME" would be attached to it..........
I didn't realize how LONG AGO it was invented though.
I've seen bikes MUCH newer than that with the old wingnuts used.

The wheel quick-releases found on your average bicycle (the little cam lever you flip to remove the wheel) were not always the norm for bike wheels. They were an improvement on what was effectively a bigass wing nut. Who invented the modern quick-release and what were the circumstances that prompted the invention?

Sorry, I missed it the first time 🙂 I have but a guess: It sounds like the part of a dam that lets water flow to the river side from the resovior side. And if it is infamus, it must be because one broke and flooded a town or something.
And if it is infamous, why do I not know what it is? 😛

What about 'mince'? it's a stretch, but maybe.
I hope to god that you two don't ever write poetry...

What was he looking for? I don't remember 🙁. I do know that his last name was haufman, and that he wrote a book called "my problem child, LSD" and that he spoke at lenth with Leary. That probably explains much of leary's antics 😛
And I tried thinking of England, but it gave me a headache 😛
Someone else step up with thise 2 answers. I wish to know. And I don't want the jokemeister telling me.
