Genocide, $330K only gets you 12.4's 1/4 mile, am I missing something here? $120K will get you This 770hp, 10.4 second car, with a top speed of 230 mph, AND a 0-60 of 2.7 seconds. Whoah....

*yawn* mornin' everyone :)

cablegod, I've always thought that little V12 SL was pretty cool until I saw that price! I thought Lamborghinis were overpriced! I'd rather spend 200k-250k on a nice Diablo VT and spend the rest on a Viper GTS...droool

you guys are too consumed with horsepower and quarter mile times. to me, driving is all about the experience. the pure joy of just DRIVING. and the best machine for that job is the Ariel Atom. Check out that bad boy. low weight, responsive, no fricking windscreen or body! *orgasm*

Do you think driving Prosches/Dodges etc. are boring? Don't get us wrong, we are obsessed with 0-60 and 1/4 mile time, but those cars drive like a dream!!

Give me Torque, Give Me Horse, and give me glass... Rocks and bugs in my eye do not sound fun. :)

Actually thats cool, But yea khaosspawn said it right... I'm just way too into power ;)

Mine isn't the actual time of the 1/4 mile, but the lower that is the more I get the feeling of my stomach and my Kidneys fusing together to form a new Organ :) Also it's a nice thing to see Yuppie cars get the SWAT-Down by good ol american muscle ;)

Not to diss SVT, but who the hell would put a blower on a car that costs 40k? I thought blowers were for restored and fixed up junkers that you could beat the crap out of, not a new corvette. Maybe it would be fine if you had that much disposable cash, but I would be more worried about keeping the warranty.

I know many people who put blowers on newer vehicles. The only time it voids a warranty is when it's the direct result of the defect. (Your Engine blows due to detonation) If your Master Cylinder goes out your okay or anything else not related to the problem. Most people who buy these types of performance cars for race accept this and is why aftermarket performance is such a strong industry.

Visit your local SCCA track or NHRA track, it's a lot more common then most thing.

To support that All Twinscrew, Roots and most Centrifical (Exception ATI D3 and such of that size) can fit in new cars without any cutting or even a hood with a cowl. Thats why they use the phrase "Bolt On"

Maybe you've heard of a little car company called Jaguar. Maybe you've heard of their sports sedan, the XJR. Supercharged.

Then there's a car company from Germany...they're called Mercedes-Benz something or other. SLK. Kompressor. Supercharged. Kompressor=Supercharger

Even Oldsmobile supercharges the Aurora engine, Pontiac supercharges the Grand Prix, and Dodge's Neon SRT concept runs on a blown 4 cyl, it's not a very uncommon thing.

This car was built with WRC in mind. It goes off road, so it'll take a beating. It is was one of the most, if not THE most, technologically advanced car of its time. The 959 is better than ANY CAR the US has ever produced, even to this day. Not only is it an off-road car, it will do 60 in 3.6 Seconds, topple the quarter in the low 12s, and run all the way up to 200mph. What car had these credentials in the 80s?

I challenge you to find a better American car than the 959. Porsche's new 911 Turbo is faster and has a more sophisticated AWD system. It's also just as fast. The McLaren F1...well...it's the fastest car in production...but I'd still take the ultra rare 959.

Beautiful

Yea, I know that car companies put superchargers on cars. Even if they are bolt-on, its still a major change to your car, its not like your just putting a new exhaust on it or something. I'm just saying that I don't see the point of someone sticking a blower on a $40k car, unless they have tons of excess money just laying around. I doubt GM will honor their warranty on a vette if they found out that you put a blower on it.
