You got 40K and wanna buy a Vette? Why? You heard of imports? Half the price, all the performance.

haha.. thats a good one. :D :D "imports".. pfft

and $40k would get me a brand new Vette. I'm not spending 40, I'm getting a 3 year old Corvette, spending $32-35ish

For 2001, the 5.7 Liter LS1 is concealed under the sleek hood of Corvette coupe and convertible models. Technical highlights of this award-winning V8 include lightweight aluminum construction, Sequential Fuel Injection and Electronic Throttle Control. Horsepower is 350 at 5600 rpm

There... now what do you have *cough* thats $20K and has more power

Oh the choice .... depends on the mods you do to it.

Get a 0 rated GTR at the Japanese Kobe auctions.
You can mod it so that the power output is ridiculous to the point of not being drivable.

Some stats for the GTR at STOCK 327bhp@8200rpm. And that's for a lean inline 6 cyc. engine (unlike your lame 5.7L Vette).

You then tweak it and you got 1000bhp with 200Kw at the wheels.

Your leaving me hanging, FINE I'll take some guesses ;)

Toyota is now offering a Supra with a Coffie can Exhaust (+150HP){Tee Hee} STOCK right off the lot for $50K with a 30K cash back W.A.C. :p J/K

C'mon there are some sweet Imports, the Nissan Z's (The ONLY Nissan I like) Ferrari has some kewl stuff Porsche has some nice things too, But C'mon You can't bash on American Muscle, it's the Origional powerhouse since HP/Torque started and for the money there is NO... Ahem NO Competition for the Price/Performance.

Sorry dude had to grab dinner. I love Jap imports, the Supras, GTRs even some Lancers. Yes you can get the price/performance ratio but you gotta do your homework :)

LOL

You want to get in the price and Availability of MOD's for cars?? One word for you.... MUSTANG!!

That car has more mods for it than every import that was invented from it's start date to the new prototypes and at 1/3 the cost of every part.

Nice site but come back with OFFICAL prices on it and I promise this will be over with fast as I can go from Jeggs to Summit and even Retail at the sellers (Vortec, Paxton, ATI, Flowmaster, JBA, Kenne Bell, need I go on) and the prices will stagger you.

The reason I like the Jap cars so much is that they go very hard on soo little petrol (it being $1+ a litre in Australia, there's about 5 litres to the gallon). If I could have my dream car now, and yes I will buy this, it'd have to be a Porsche. Reason I've driven a few 911s (not turbos :() and they are absolutely awesome fun to stick it to. IMHO nothing thrashes as well as a Porsche.

Sounds like you need a Hybrid then. Toyota and Honda make nice ones that get about 70 MILES to the GALLON... Honestly I like the Metric system more myself though... I mean C'mon 9/32 11/32 I'm talkin 14mm 15mm Whats so hard about that.

When you talk about putting no pedal into it I know that feeling, The blower thats on my vehicle produces Boost right off Idle where Turbo's have to "Spool" up so I get the power from a tap on the pedal. Low-End Torque is where it's ALL at too :) I love the feeling of being PLACED in your seat

What sort of blow off valves are you using? I love the casacade series ones (pisses the hell out of cops :D). What do you drive? I've ordered a V6 Twin Turbo Lexus Soarer (Japanese import). Yeah yeah I know, but it's cheap and has the 'luxury' look. I plan to mod the hell out of it though. I wish we had the range of chromies that you have in the US though :(.

Yea it's fun, I'm lookin to get a more commuter car on the side though now as that thing is hard to drive as a daily. Not hard, it's very fun actually but just things like better milage and I'm looking at something used so I dno't care about Door dings, so for now I'm the guy WAY in the back of the parking lot :)

Here is my Fav Quote ;)

Because if the F-150's pilot is cool and doesn't smoke his humungo P295/45ZR18 Goodyears on takeoff, the Lightning will leap out of the hole and take one giant bite out of somebody's fat ego. Sixty arrives in a pavement wrinkling 5.6 seconds, and the quarter mile takes a scant 14.1 seconds with a terminal speed of 96.5 mph. This here is a truck that can run door handle to door handle with a BMW M3. Can you say, "Yuppie-scum beware"?

LOL Love the quote. I'm not a big fan of BMWs despite what UrbanTech tries to pull (no offense UT but i'm not a fan ;)). In regards to every day driving, I definately feel ya. Performance cars aren't exactly made for daily driving. Perhaps you should get a Jap car as your 'everyday' car then. They are usually pretty good for milage, and very cheap (to buy and repair in case of dings ;)).

Hang on ... your truck can do 60 in 5.6???? BLINK BLINK .... WOW. I remember a couple of year ago Ford put out a concept 'truck' in Oz called the Sandstorm (I think). That thing was a beast and did 0-60 in around that time.

Yep I'm looking at getting another Civic again, I found a 93 I'm gonna go look at hopefully this weekend if it's not sold yet, I had a 90 before, Great car for milage and reliability. This time I just want the less box style ;)
