I actually have no idea. You're the one who brought it up in the OP, did you forget? What DOES it have to do with this thread?

I made that clear in my OP. I disagree with both the Republicans and the Democrats attaching abortion language in the bill. Is that difficult to understand?

I'm asking you to tell us what the abortion language in the bill is. You've obviously read it, right?

(we all know you haven't read it and you made this thread based on something you got from right wing media that was a lie, you got caught, just admit it)

Unless NBC and CNN are right wing media, then no. It appears the bill (HR 6201) was modified just before passing which removed the language. The bill I read DID contaIn language (the proposed bill). The bill passed didnt include expansion of the Hyde act. So, scratch my original comment. Also, they removed the other sticking point of mine, no expiration of family leave moneys. IThat expires 12/202.

So Im good with those changes.

Also that said, the Republicans tried sneaking in anti-abortion language into the bill, which also wouldve been a no-go for me.

Please link the bill with references to abortion or the Hyde act. You didn't read anything about it. They didn't remove anything, it wasn't there. The WH CLAIMED it was there with no proof. I would be happy to admit I'm wrong if you can present any text of reference. All that I've seen are essentially "he said she said" reports without any actual text to support either side.

So abortion language is not ok, but corporate welfare is? Exemptions for 500+ and 50- worker companies?

Here bud, plenty of links in THIS link to go thru, including the draft that the WH claimed allowed for federal funding of abortions.

Enjoy.

The WH claims were just as meritless as almost all their other claims. Purely partisan meant to disparage a Democrat controlled House. That's it. The "do nothing" Democrats simply can't put their name on ANYthing good for Americans without attacks from the GOP.

As for your other question, yes....Corporate America owns our asses. The illusion of freedom is simply that. You're free to do anything that doesn't hurt the donor class money bins

Please quote the abortion language they tried to stick in (hint: it never existed). Why did you claim you read the bill if you didn't? Or I'm sure you'll be able to let us know about the "abortion language" that had you concerned and was reassuringly removed.

Guess you didn't read my response

Rage on man

I did and responded to you. Guess you didn't read mine. Feel free to admit you never read the bill and are lying. We can all see it. Unless, of course, you want to prove me wrong and I'll be happy to apologize.

I see one of our generous posters even provided you a Snopes link that contains a link the draft that you reviewed. Feel free to highlight the text that had you concerned.
