This bill is apparently only fucking theater
Dem's need to make a solid bill, pass it, and let the GOP eat it hard.
This bill is apparently only fucking theater
Sick leave aside, this is in all honesty a turd of a bill IMHO.
Oh joy, some unpaid sick leave. How generous and helpful to your average American during these fun times. Hope you don't need to eat, pay utilities, or pay rent.
So you want free medical care & paid time off too now?
Man, oh man... How do these clowns sleep at night is beyond me. I'm trapped for the moment in Czech Republic and I'd rather be here than having to be witness to this carelessness in person. Thoughts and prayers to all potential victims. This bill is apparently only fucking theater

@blackangst1 OP, coming back to cite what spawned your, certainly independently developed, concerns about abortion?
I actually have no idea. You're the one who brought it up in the OP, did you forget? What DOES it have to do with this thread? What does abortion have to do with this thread? Ivee stated my personal opinion on abortion several times on this board it should be a secret.

I'm asking you to tell us what the abortion language in the bill is. You've obviously read it, right?I made that clear in my OP. I disagree with both the Republicans and the Democrats attaching abortion language in the bill. Is that difficult to understand?
Let's see how far he'll go to pretend he didn't get duped. You have to wonder how it conveniently slipped his mind.

I see we share a similar vision of the future.lol, I expect a meager attempt at Starbucking before full on thread abandon.

(we all know you haven't read it and you made this thread based on something you got from right wing media that was a lie, you got caught, just admit it)
Unless NBC and CNN are right wing media, then no. It appears the bill (HR 6201) was modified just before passing which removed the language. The bill I read DID contaIn language (the proposed bill). The bill passed didnt include expansion of the Hyde act. So, scratch my original comment. Also, they removed the other sticking point of mine, no expiration of family leave moneys. IThat expires 12/202.
So Im good with those changes.
Also that said, the Republicans tried sneaking in anti-abortion language into the bill, which also wouldve been a no-go for me.

So abortion language is not ok, but corporate welfare is? Exemptions for 500+ and 50- worker companies?
YesSo abortion language is not ok, but corporate welfare is? Exemptions for 500+ and 50- worker companies?
Please quote the abortion language they tried to stick in (hint: it never existed). Why did you claim you read the bill if you didn't? Or I'm sure you'll be able to let us know about the "abortion language" that had you concerned and was reassuringly removed.

OK, so what is acceptable about the corporate welfare in this proposed legislation?
I did and responded to you. Guess you didn't read mine. Feel free to admit you never read the bill and are lying. We can all see it. Unless, of course, you want to prove me wrong and I'll be happy to apologize.Guess you didn't read my response
Rage on man
