Feels like the only way sometimes, especially with the party of Trump.

I've seen dogs who've been more effective beggars than some of the "opposition" and I'm simply tired of taking whatever bones are tossed to most US citizens.

What would you suggest when we have this guy in opposition? Armed revolution?

That's in regard to the bill you're pooh-poohing. He has the Power & DGAF.

If it's not going to pass then why not send a proper bill which if nothing else encourages people to support a party that will fight for them? Right now to the non-hyperpartisan this looks like taking a beating for not much reason.

Or we can just blame Mitch and wring our hands which really inspires.

So imagine I don't want Trump which pretty much everyone knows, but "anybody but Trump" isn't good enough to give up beer and pizza and a game on TV. I don't watch much news but when I do I don't pay attention to Fox exclusively if much at all. But I see the NYT and other reputable sources which tell the facts and so I learn that "we got a bill passed and there's coverage" is really hyperbole for the vast majority and even then the Dems got their butt whipped without much of a fight. "We have to shoot low and not make a fuss because we're impotent so why bother" is a take home message that voters don't want. They want to see a fight, someone who may lose but fuck all they're giving it a shot.

But Trump, but the GOP. Yeah we know already. Just how hard did you (The Party) actually push noses into the mess? Why on earth should that voter believe that the party which was low energy actually care even if they win?

That's what people IRL are wondering and saying, at least enough that would have shifted the balance last time.

Now you can gallop on gishes, duhvert, try to tear Democrats down, and concern troll yourself to distraction with those canned responses, but you don't need to convince me to go out and vote for Trump. You need much more that sympathetic ATOT denizens. We need people of all kinds even if they don't wax elegantly about whatever platform or agenda is given. You need the 80% that aren't represented by the Dem efforts.

It's designed to be at the limit of what McConnell can be forced to accept at the moment. With Trump behind it, he's fucked & he knows it. It will help some people right away. As this unfolds, we'll demand even more.

So Mitch will commit? We shall see about that and more.

If he does, you'll likely claim the cowardly Dems could have had more. If he doesn't, you'll claim the cowardly Dems should have made a stronger statement by not asking for more. Weak sisters either way.

From reasonable to dunce in zero seconds.

If the bill is passed AND the Dems go back for complete protection for all employees then I'll be happy even if Mitch shoots it down.

So if the above happens and I do exactly as I say (which I must say I have a very good record of doing), how will you make it about gishes and such? How will you attack?

But they're still pussies for not going hard from the beginning, obviously. That has been your contention all along, hasn't it?

I'm reminded of the visit by ghosts Richard III had in the play which all ended with "dispair and die".

Can we just do that already?
Politics aside, I sometimes wonder if major diseases are gods way of telling us we're overpopulated. Or mother nature.

It more like a matter of migration/movement, immunology, modern technology and economics.

Not so long ago in human history populations migrated with little contact with outsiders for any length of time. These groups acquired diseases and immunities to which developed over time. When we became an agrarian society we established trade routes for commerce which led to increased spreading of diseases but that was restricted to region wide exposure which still gave time for humans to eventually adapt.

Then we went with Asian and European and exchanges of diseases. The finishing global stake in the heart of civilizations was Europeans coming to the New World, where pretty much everything went to hell.

Modern times- Diseases continue to spread but at such a rate that there will always be a coronavirus on the horizon and I suspect a more or less steady stream of similar events occurs. How frequently? Aye, that's the rub that no one can know at present, although I expect some bright people have been working on models for some time.

Lol Louie Gohmert is preventing the House from adopting the technical corrections by unanimous consent.

Yes - the House.

The Senate, not so much. I heard the bill had a missing comma and a few is that were not dotted.

You are thinking of the version that had abortion language. This one is missing three consecutive exclamation marks and an ascii middle finger.
