I mean who knows, there's no way to test it until it happens but there's a reason why North Korean propaganda would do things like say Kim Jong Il never shits, and how he hits 18 holes in one or whatever.

I agree. Honestly I think it will come down to which side Fox News falls on. As long as Fox unconditionally supports Trump he is probably untouchable. As soon as Murdoch decides his best interests is elsewhere Trump is done.

Holy crap. Bannon trial set for July 18. Like time sensitive matter here. It’s not just about convicting him for contempt of congress. Like wouldn’t this judge be able to rule to say bannon isn’t covered by executive privilege and just end it immediately?

Why even bother having a justice system at this point?

Just saw Rep. Zoe Lofgren from the committee interviewed on MSNBC. This is my reading her between the lines but, they have interviewed almost 250 people of which several have completely cooperated. They have the narrative, and a lot of who talked to who, and when. Next big fish, who wants to tell all is Pence's chief of staff Scott. Trump ratted him out the day after the insurrection, for convincing Pence not the hold up the show.
Don't give up yet.

Yep, by the time anything might happen republicans will have taken back the House and at best we’ll end up with a special prosecutor.
Sanity may be a sliding scale but you literally cannot be a Republican without being insane.

This is yet another area where Democrats desperately need to act, but can't do so without eliminating the filibuster. Trump and Republicans generally have found out you can cause nearly infinite delays in the judicial system, which allows them to get around most misconduct. Congress needs to pass a law to fast track cases involving Congress so that they are resolved in weeks, not months or years.

Somebody is lying.

This call never happened': ex-D.C. Guard leaders push back as internal Army report on Jan. 6 emerges - POLITICO

Two former top D.C. National Guard officials claim that an internal Army report on its response to the Jan. 6 insurrection at the Capitol is loaded with falsehoods.

The Army report, obtained by POLITICO, lays the foundation for the Pentagon’s defense against criticism that it took too long to approve the Guard’s response to the Capitol attack. The March 18 report says Guard members weren’t prepared to respond quickly to the riot and describes multiple communications between top Army officials and the D.C. Guard’s commander, then-Maj. Gen. William Walker.

But Walker, now sergeant at arms in the House, says some of those communications the Army describes in the report never actually happened. He and a former top lawyer for the D.C. Guard, Col. Earl Matthews, also say the Guard members were ready to be deployed to the Capitol.

Remember, some of Donny's Stooges are still in place. If they were involved in this report, it may be deliberately inaccurate.

We need to expect that nothing will happen until a Special Prosecutor digs through years of future court cases.

When the hell are the daily public hearings gonna happen like Banghazi??

Dems slow to the draw again. The national narrative needs to start now

Sure transparency is good. But this committee has said they will get as many people on record before releasing details to lock their statements instead of people tailoring their statement based on public details.

But getting cooperation from Pence’s COS will greatly move along the process

But the ruling was paused for 2 weeks, so Trump could appeal to Supreme Court

Unavoidable. Can’t stomp on his legal rights for an appeal. Leave any ounce of impropriety, it will give an opening for him to claim his constitutional rights have been ignored. At this point, the presidential library documents are just gravy. Pence COS testimony is probably all that’s really needed.

If you saw how the appellate court worded it's ruling, it's almost like they were daring the SCOTUS to change the rulings. If I could figure out how to get the document I'd post a link here.
Racheal Maddow read the whole ruling on her show. Well, the good parts at least.

This paragraph right here.

What Mr. Trump seeks is to have an Article III court intervene and nullify those judgments of the President and Congress, delay the Committee’s work, and derail the negotiations and accommodations that the Political Branches have made. But essential to the rule of law is the principle that a former President must meet the same legal standards for obtaining preliminary injunctive relief as everyone else. And former President Trump has failed that task.
