It's a 14 day for return for replacement or refund. Not a warranty. The warranty on this is a year fom eWiz. link here

After the 30 days (14 days for CPU and memory) return period, defective parts may be returned to eWiz.com for repair according to the following warranty period:

* Hard-drive: 1 year from invoice date
* Motherboard: 1 year from invoice date
* Memory: 1 year from invoice date

Super Talent has a limited lifetime warranty, so it looks like after a year and it goes bad, send it to them for replacement. Super Talent

Ok, what does everyone's module LABEL on the DIMM package / DIMM say?

Mine is:

SUPER*TALENT
THE POWER OF MEMORY
T8UB2GC5
2GB DDR2-800 PC6400
Heatspreader 64MX8 CL5

And here are the pictures of the module as received in its package:

http://img339.imageshack.us/my.php?image=img3915bg5.jpg]]
http://img407.imageshack.us/my.php?image=img3916gm2.jpg]]
http://img407.imageshack.us/my.php?image=img3917sk8.jpg]]
http://img236.imageshack.us/my.php?image=img3918fy5.jpg]]

My major confusion is why it's seemingly labeled incorrectly in two places (on the carrier package label
as well as on the label on the DIMM heatspreader) -- it says "64MX8" on those labels.

However the eWiz product page says it's 128X8 in two different places, which is what
I'd EXPECT since a 16-chip 2048MBy capacity DIMM usually uses quantity 16 (eight per DIMM side)
128Mbit deep x 8 bit wide chips x 16 = 128M x 16 bytes = 2048 MBytes = 2GBY.
It's rather confusing why the labels would indicate a product of HALF that capacity, unless
it's somehow a 32-chip DIMM which I don't think even exists; it certainly looks like it's a
16-chip DIMM from the 7 visible chip outlines silkscreened on the DIMM top side with room
for the 8th under the place obscured by the carrier package label.

Other Super Talent 2GB capacity 16-chip DIMMs I've bought from eWiz (the others being 667MHz speed
from months ago) are labeled as expected as being 128X8 chip capacity (using 16 such chips per DIMM).

http://www.ewiz.com/detail.php?name=T8UB2GC5
Home > Computer Components > Memory > DDR2 SDRAM DIMM - 240 Pins
STT DDR2-800 2GB/128x8 S-RIGID Memory
Product Info:

Specification
o Mfr Part Number: T8UB2GC5
o Type: DDR2
o Capacity: 2 GB
o Speed: PC6400 800MHz
o Size & Bit: 128 x 8
o Pins: 240pin
o ECC: No
o Registered: No
o Super RIGID

SuperTalent's own WWW site interestingly doesn't have a match for this exact
part number, though there's a close one which is
P/N "T800UB2GC5" vs the eWiz parts labeled "T8UB2GC5"" on their www site and the shipped parts.
The specifications of the SuperTalent part below match what I'd expect to be the correct
specifications for the DIMMs ordered / received, minus the iconsistencies of the
part number as well as the 64MX8 bits.

http://www.supertalent.com/products/overclock.php
http://www.supertalent.com/dat...ts/T800UB2GC5_spec.pdf
T800UB2GC5 2 GB 800 Mhz PC2-6400 256M x 64 128M x 8 5-5-5-15 N Y

I suppose it's just a typographical error in the labels (both MODEL NUMBER AND GEOMETRY??),
but it's a rather odd one to think that the manufacturer would get it wrong in TWO different labels even
after they have a few other 2GByte capacity DIMMs they've been selling correctly labeled for quite a few months.

Anyway can those of you who've installed these *CONFIRM*
1) the actual presence of 2048 MBYTEs usable memory per DIMM, and
2) LABELING that looks identical to what I've posted / shown in the pictures?

Thanks!

I ordered two sticks of this wednesday and recieved them yesterday with usps priority mail (ewiz and I are apparently both in the sf bay area). They're in my win xp system right now and seem to be running ok stock, registering as 3.12 mb of course. I'll try bumping up the voltages and timings this weekend to see how well these oc.

Have you guys who have got this run memtest?
Do these pass?

Have you tried running them at higher rates than 800?

Actually the two companies are "related." eWiz is the retail branch of a distributor called MA Labs. Super Talent is IMO the "house brand" of MA Labs, kind of like how Rosewill is Newegg's "house brand." I did some research once and these companies all have the same address.

Anyone know if the Asus P5W DH will handle 4 of these for 8GB?

Although Asus claims 8GB max their MB was release before 2GB DIMMS were available, so they do not even list any "compatible" DIMMS!

I have XP64 and 4GB already

Any luck on overclocking these yet?

They run fine for me at DDR2-900 and 5-6-6-18 on 2.1v. I'm running mine at DDR2-750 and 4-4-4-12 on 2.0v currently. This seems to be some damn nice RAM.

Several people have gotten the sticks that I picked up to run at 1000 without problems. But I got the T800UX2GC4 sticks which have been pushed to 1080MHz, but show stability problems around there from what I have seen.

http://www.driverheaven.net/re...02GB%20kit/testing.htm

For the cheaper ones, I don't know. Unlike the slightly more expensive DIMMS, they are not listed as "overclocking" on Super Talent's website, but classified as their standard desktop memory. That doesn't mean they won't overclock. I mean, it just depends on the yields of the chips they are buying. If they have good yields, then all the chips might be bin-able for their "overclocking" line, but they still need to use something for their standard lines, which means the chips just don't go thru all the tests.

Should work just fine. I've not used them with that board, but I have been using them with Intel chipsets for a while, zero problems.

If I hadn't ordered the Crucial Ballistic 2G from buy.com for $60 the other day I'd probably order it now. I think I will wait and see if it drops again.

Yeah, because as I said, those reviews are for the DIFFERENT RAM, "the ones I got" because "I got the T800UX2GC4 sticks" which was in my post...
