Q5: Which products are bundled with the Half-Life® 2 promotional offer?

ATI is offering the Half-Life 2 promotion with the following products:

Built By ATI qualifying products (available in North American Retail, only)
RADEON? 9800XT
RADEON? 9600XT
ALL-IN-WONDER® 9600 PRO
RADEON? 9600 SE
Or

Graphics By ATI qualifying products (available worldwide)
RADEON? 9800XT
RADEON? 9800 PRO
RADEON? 9800
RADEON? 9600XT

<blah blah blah>

Looks like we all need to get our asses over to BB and pick up those
9600 Pros packaged as 9600 SEs.

I figure I'll leave mine in the box, wrapped, until I know for a fact I can use it. Otherwise I'll just return it.

The form [from ATI's site] needs the HL2 coupon, which most people who planned on getting on this offer don't have. I guess that excludes me, I bought a 9800 Pro after 10/1, and ATI is kinda shafting anyone in my position who bought a top of the line vid card before their 'little problem'.

I guess this settles that the only one I am going to still buy is Doom3.... unless they also 'have an unforseen leak and are delayed'.

Always reading other posts and (sometimes) laughing at people's ignorance, I guess it's my turn to pull a retard! So I got my new 9600 Pro (in the 9600 SE box) and I am all excited about HL2. I set the scratch off card on top of my computer and "bam-click-click-click-click"...my card got sucked into my case fan, pretty much shredding it to bits. I call BB and I cannot return the video card with any damage to that scratch off card (kindof what I figured). So I have been trying to put back the code card as best as what I can from the 20 or so pieces that sucked into my case. I think I got all the numbers but I am not sure what the form of the numbers is. IE. Is it something like XXXX-XXXXXXX-XXXXXX-XXXX? Of course I am not asking for anyone's code or what-not, just the form of the numbering. I appreciate the help guys!

Anybody home?

Got the 9600Pro at BB and downloaded the file at steam (700+ mb). However, when I go to start a game it asks for the CD key which I assume is the key that was on the back of the Half life2 coupon. Tried this and no good (doesn't accept this key number). So how do you access the games through steam? Thanks

Still fighting this with ATI - I bought a 9600 Pro within the alloted time period, printed out the 'old' coupon that showed I qualified, sent them a copy of the Google cache of the 'old' coupon....

Anybody notice this in last weeks CompUSA ad? The picture isn't too clear online but on paper it is clear as day that there is a sticker for half-life 2 on the radeon 9600 pro box. Yeah, I know about misprints, right to correct errors, etc. I still sent the ad to ATI though to make my case.

EDIT: View the flash version of the ad on the Compusa site, go to pages 10 & 11, click on the Radeon 9600 pro (upper L.H. corner) and you can see a MUCH better picture of the sticker.

How do you get the form from Google's cache for this offer without this code coupon? That offer was a big reason why I went out and bought a 9800np.

I printed out the form and had the url, otherwise you'd have to view the source, look for the url's, enter 'em into Google and hope they'd cached the page.

However the point is moot :(

Google's cache has now been updated and the 'old' documents are no longer there. If you don't have them cached locally or printed out, you're SOL.

I have the old forms, but they say I need a coupon in order to redeem it. I bought it within the time period, but it didn't have that. What are the people without the coupon supposed to do?

Just go a 9800 Pro from BB for 299.99 and they have a little sign stating you get hl 2 w/ a 9800 pro but I didn't receive a coupon. Does anyone have it still? link? or email me it?

I was thinking about getting the BB $299 9800 Pro. I don't think so, now. To me, it sounds like no sticker/coupon, no game...

Too bad. I was ready to drop the cash...:frown:

1-800
1-888
1-877
1-866

are all toll free prefixes in the the US. :D It's scary how fast the 888 and 877 filled up. Remember the personal AT&T 1-800/1-888 service?

Why doesn't someone just post a link to an original form from before they required you to have the coupon.
I am sure someone has it saved.

Offer only available to customers who have:

Purchased a qualifying RADEON? technology graphics card after October 1, 2003.
-or-
Purchased a qualifying RADEON? graphics cards as part of limited time promotional offers from North American Retailers after October 1, 2003.

I don't see any model numbers listed... so what cards are "qualifying"?

I bought the 9800 Pro from BB a couple of weeks ago with the intention of getting HL2 for free...but the rebate form they printed out for me was invalid. I've now called ATI line, BB line, and finally a store manager at my store. He sent it up to general manager, who also didn't know, and they sent it on to corporate. I'll let you guys know if I hear back from them.

I didn't get very far at the store either, in store advertisement for 9800 PRO clearly indicate HL-2 is free. I hope you can solve this one for us.
