brown-nose, anyone? The digcam is a nice piece of work. The rebate is good into May. Staples has an ongoing pm policy, and in-store and online coupons. I'm still interested and the 2 current PM vendors are out of stock.
I got such bs from some outfits, calling authorized dealers unauthorized.... anything but to abide by their own bait and switch PM policies. Just because some rabid newbies pollute the thread doesn't mean it isn't a legit. thread.
Plse, keep up the PM info!

The mod is right, if you miss out you miss out. Don't confuse fraud with legit deals. Taking an outdated printout knowingly is no different than altering the content yourself with FrontPage!

Use your time out to think about the names you call people.

Picked up my 4800 thursday from Staples.Only i did it strictly legit! I used a legit web price(before rebate),and used MY $40 off coupon.I took the whole coupon to the store, with my name and address shown!
They took off the coupon twice,I POINTED THAT OUT! So to reward me for pointing this out, they did not add the $15 shipping! It ended up $345 after rebate. With an honest price like that,WHY defraud people?I do about 5 thousand dollars a year in purchases from Staples.I want them to stay alive, not like the other office supply store chain!

Forgive me if this has been posted before, but if you register your DC4800 online with Kodak they'll send you a free lens adapter. You will not see it on the initial page, but it shows up at the bottom of the registration form.

This was a double post, but since I'm here anyway... I don't think that the lens adapter is any good by itself, but you'll need it if you plan to use any other lenses on the DC4800

Actually, it was also mentioned in the reg. postcard in the dc4800 box. They then said you could just go to the web site and gave the URL.

For those of you looking for the dc4800 expansion pack -
Buy.com has it for $64.95, and they don't charge an arm and a leg for shipping like the Kodak store.

Link to expansion pack

I live in CA so the total after tax and shipping was $75.51, better than ~$90 at the kodak store.

EDIT: Whoops, this is backordered. Well, I guess if you have all the time in the world to wait, you can order it from here. Sorry.
