To clarify this is:

RADEON® X800 XT PLATINUM EDITION AGP 256MB - REFURB* for $229.00

Listed as "Stock: Pre-Order" and carries a 3-year limited warranty.

But hell, if it works, that's a steal.

I'd be a bit wary if this was a Newegg "stick it back in a box and ship it to the next guy" refurb, but this is an ATI refurb with full accessories/3 year warranty.

Buying a refurb card isn't the same as waiting for the R520 to appear. I'm sure they must have a supply of them if they're offering them up for sale.

Maybe I got lucky, but I ordered an x800 referb off Newegg last week, and haven't noticed any problems with it yet. I have hear the horror stories of NE and their referb's. As long as I get some sort of warentee, I don't really have a problem buying referb from anywhere.

Apparently there's a 10% off coupon code out there that works with this as well to get the price Si1veR is showing ($221.71 shipped).

That's correct. I found the coupon at Fatwallet. Too bad we can't post it here, but I'm sure you guys will find it.

thanks a ton for pointing this out, I just ordered mine and used the coupon at www.fatwallet.com, bringing it all down to 221$

BY THE WAY, AS I READ ON THE FATWALLET FORUMS, THEY'RE GOING TO START SHIPPING THESE BABIES OUT AROUND AUGUST 12. For me, I go on vacation next week, and then about a week after I get back, this should come in the mail. Works out perfectly :D
