Any thought about using this with dual channel DDR? I read somewhere about Corsair recommending not to use 512 MB sticks in dual ddr format?

Sigh, its all confusing to this n00b.

Well they are in, a very noticeable difference.... however they will not run at agressive setting on my Intel 845pebt2 MB(boot up loops) where my 256 crucial 2100 would. I have heard that larger sticks dont overclock as well, and hey it might be the friggin intel MB (I got it cheap ok) They do run great at stock settings though.
But I thought you all would like to know.

Im still 100% happy with my purchase and would encourage anyone looking for some quallity ram at rock bottom prices (not bad service either) to pick some up

partnumber on the crucial label.
i spoke to their tech support, and they told me, that they will cover lifetime warranty only on modules, which were brought directly from crucial (probably, he's wrong, but anyway). i just want to call them again and make sure that this p/n is covered before making purchase.

great! :) hope i get crucial as well :)

I did receive the tracking number but it doesnt specify expected delivery date... but im sure it will be this week :)

oh yeah someone above said that it didnt run as agressive as their pc2100 256mb crucial.
can you explain more? does it not run as high as that pc2100? did you mean @ pc2700(166mhz) speeds but not at cas 2-2-2?

thanx :)

because I bascially ordered this...
so I can try to o/c higher
and since memory is cheap :)

Good question from Hankysmoo, does this do CAS 2 at 166 MHz for you new owners? This seems even better than the PC2100 from Crucial direct deal at only about $5 more per stick because of taxlessness. Thanks LostHiWay :)

I have an Asus A7N8X Deluxe Nforce2 motherboard. Im running it with 512mb of 2700 Kingston Memory right now.

If i were to purchase a stick of Crucial PC2700 512, would these two work together? Would it work with Dual Channel Memory? Thanks for any help.

mine is crucial :)

well i tried to o/c more but im getting same results. it wont do 146+.

well.. ram isnt the problem since its rated at 166mhz, and other components arent the problem either since i've tried 150 which underclocks agp and pci.

i juiced up to 1.85v (core) and good cooling .

i think its the motherboard.

but im happy i got the crucial :) weee~~ now to that infinion from newegg~

They should work. Just remember to put them in slot 1 and 3 or 2 and 3.

Thanks man, im seriously considering going for the gig-o-memory. Couple of questions first:

1) How much memory do you need to completely eliminate the windows file page?

2) Which is the third slot on the A7N8X, is it the blue one that is a small distance away from the other slots?

Thanks!
