Damnit, I ordered on the 24 and it shipped yesterday. It should've been here today, I live maybe 20-30 minutes from their Secaucus NJ headquarters or what have you... :|

Now this is getting interesting, I got the tracking numbers early in the morning, but they are still not in the fedex system. Does it always take that long?

confirmed, the product description said micron oem pc2700 drr 512 mb and I got my 3 sticks of crucial pc2700 ddr. I think this has got to be one of the best deals on memory so far.

and yes, it is indeed crucial pc2700.
thanks LostHiWay!!

Wow this is incredibly tempting...

Okay, tried to resist but finally gave in. Ordered two sticks to put in my 8K7A+. I'm planning on upgrading to an Nforce 2 sometime in the next few months so I'll be ready with my 1 gig of dual DDR 😀

Now I just have to find somebody to buy my two 256 MB Crucial 2100 sticks. Anyone interested, please PM me.

yes....the information won't be upload into fedex's system till 6pm......

Who got those sticks? And how are they doing? Whats the clock setting & other stuff looking to you? Are you happy with the RAM-Service?

Yea, I'm in too. I hope this stuff works better than my Crucial 2100. That stuff is running at 170 and doing fine.

ordered on 26th, no tracking number yet...

and the memory prices are going lower and lower ...

I will not buy from cnet in the future.. take a look at their canceling procedures... 😛

hopefully this ordergoes thru w/o problems.

What do you guys think of the 66.5$ Kingston PC2700 RAM and the $63 PC2700 Crucial RAM? Is Crucial better? (Unfortunately the latter was offered by an unkown dealer...🙁

Does anyone know where is a good place to track RAM prices? Like a chart or something that shows the trend in prices?
(please PM or post here) Thanks.

I'm in the same predicament. I was going to order the $66.50 memory from Googlegear. The Crucial would be slightly better, but I guess the reason I'm hesitating is because there's no sure thing that I'll get Crucial from CnetPC. And Googlegear is a more reputable vendor.

ok... so i have a question for you all ram gurus.

if $100 is my price range for 512mb, which ram would you guys recommend?

crucial pc2700?
corsair pc2700c2?
kingston pc3000?

i greatly appreciate your input on this.

for crucial, it seems like people are having delivery problems with cnetpc.
would it be a safer option to just get it directly from crucial for $80?

They are not having delivery problems with Cnet. Cnet is just slow and the fedex tracking number does not register till late in the evening.

Where can you find 512mb Corcair pc2700C2?? If you could, I would get that. If not, I would just get this Crucial.

This sounds like a sweet deal LostHiWay... I'm gonna jump on the bandwagon and order two myself.

Anyway, I don't see why nobody's considering GeiL memory. I've only heard great things about their high end sticks I think they deserve a mention for the guy who wants to spend around $100 for 512MB. I'm close to ordering two sticks of PC3500 Ultra Platinum GeiL (4.5ns chips, cas2 1T) for $138 free shipping from gameve.com
Just checked pricewatch and I see a lot of red UP arrows. Looks like a good time to buy memory now.
