Tried instore pickup again this morning and now shows $24.04. Tried to do instore pickup again but it wouldn't let me add to cart at checkout.
Went to my OD B&M and it scanned at $24.04

Retail Audigy MP3+ at Newegg is $75 so it looks like this clearance price is a pretty good deal.

Because of the Creative drivers? I agree that they're pretty bad, but you can always run WHQL ones instead.

I just ordered an Audigy 2 oem from knowledgemicro for about 70 bucks shipped (through pw).

There are zero problems with Audigy drivers. THe people moaning about "creative drivers" are referring to the SB Live! disaster.

AUdigy drivers are rock solid in win98 and xp. I've built several systems with Audigy 1 and 2's, and the performance -- and reliability -- is awesome.

That denpends on your system. While it may be true that some people have no problems with the drivers, some do have issues with the drivers. One issue that immediately comes to mind is the problems some people have had with multiprocessor and hyperthreaded single processor systems. I'm not sure whether Creative has addressed that issue yet with their most recent drivers or not but in the past it's been a problem for folks with multiprocessor (and even single processor hyperthreaded) systems.

> What's the major diff between the Audigy 1 and the Audigy 2.

are this Audigy 1 or the Audigy 2 ?

update: looks like it's a Audigy 1

I would stay FAR away if it is audigy 1, which is reported have a lot of incompatibility driver problem...

I was real lucky, the OD here in Vegas had 50% off all of the clearance stuff, so I picked up the Audigy for only $12.02.
