Got this from a google group search:

That was quick. So, some 3rd party professional scanning software doesn't work with a $45 scanner, doesn't sour the deal for me, I ordered one. Lowest price on pricegrabber is $102.

This scanners was 99 bux at fry's, i was looking at it today. The next step up is the same model, but with an adapter to scan negatives, and it is more than twice as much on amazon. Most reviews say it is a good scanner. Cant go wrong for under 50 bux.

Looks like that HP all-in-one copier/printer/fax/scanner for under $100 is dead... or else that may have been a good option if you don't want too many devices... then again, I doubt the scanner was USB 2.0.

If you ordered one of these and don't have USB 2.0 - CompUSA has a USB 2.0 PCI card on sale for $19.99.

just ordered mine. It will take almost two weeks to get here, but for $45 shipped and no rebate hassles, I can learn to be a patient grasshopper.

Careful Acura3. You are not allowed to ask about hot deals in this forum. If the mods catch you they will permanently ban you.

Nightwatch Yes it works with 1.1. I believe all USB2.0 devices are downward compatible by specification.
