I don't know I was playing SFxT and MKX online before they were officially out. I thought MS just banned people back in the 360 days when people played bootlegs online, which a lot of the time were early.

Damn that looks really good. I started Uncharted 4 this week and HZD looks noticeably better from those screen shots.

Don't sell Uncharted 4 short, especially if you haven't progressed that far. There are some parts of the game that just make you wonder how the hell Naughty Dog could ever produce this kind of stuff on a gpu at the level of an HD 7850. I don't want to spoil anything other than to say Uncharted 4 is jaw dropping graphically.

I have to say I'm extremely impressed with Guerilla Games based on everything we have seen on Horizon Zero Dawn though. It keeps a rock solid framerate according to Digital Foundry. Everything about this game seems to scream that Sony has now another Naughty Dog or Santa Monica Studios level developer under their umbrella. I can't wait until I get my copy from newegg, hopefully next week (they say they're shipping Tuesday, which means I probably get it Friday or the Monday after).
 
I've watched some developer videos and also a gameplay walkthrough on YouTube of someone that got the game early I suppose. While I'm not into the robotic animals, it looks to be like something I would play. If they are calling it as good as last of us then that should mean something. I've played last of us 4 times already.

I'm going to order it on amazon since I still have my prime trial active.
 
There are so many people who are given early copies by the publishers these days. Review sites, youtube let's play people.
 
I got a message from best buy that my order is ready for pickup. I don't want to go all the way down there just to be told I can't have it early. I guess I could call them and see...

I would call first and see what they say. I thought it was supposed to be out the 23rd anyway. If it comes out the first of March I'll be flying back to the states so I wouldn't be able to get it that day anyway. I'll just order it on amazon and hopefully with prime I'll have it March 2nd. Hopefully it will be fun and help me recover from jetlag.

Rumor is that Target will have a B2G1 on all video games (except the Switch) starting this Sunday. So, if you have two other games in mind, you can get those as well as Horizon.

That's a nice deal but I haven't been thinking or been up to date on any games lately. I still have to finish resident evil 7. I have an issue with buying games and not finishing them lol. Ever since I was a teen.

Games usually come out on Tuesdays here, I expected to pick it up tomorrow
 
I'll pick it up tomorrow... should just buy digital to preload but I'm one of those silly fellows who likes physical copies.

I always prefer physical to digital unless digital is way cheaper. At least with physical I can unplug the ethernet cable/turn off the wifi and play my disc no matter what. It makes me feel like I actually own the game. Digital always feels like a rental. I have a bunch of digital PS3 games that I wonder what's going to happen to when my PS3 hard drive dies if Sony doesn't allow you to download the games any more from the Playstation Store. They're certainly not going to keep PS3 support going in 5-10 years. Hopefully by then RPCS3 will be advanced enough that I won't care and can just play roms on my computer like I do with NES/SNES/PS1/PS2.

I prefer physical pretty much for the same reason. At least if I don't like it then I can trade it in for extra 20% due to my best buy gamers unlocked membership.
 
Downloaded and ready to go. 65" OLED curved with HDR, should look pretty amazing. Gonna try kb/mouse depending on how much actual shooting there is.
 
I just placed my order on amazon. Should have it March 2nd. There is a big problem with Amazon packages at my apartment complex. Every other delivery service does fine but amazon either leaves them in the wrong areas or in the wrong buildings. Sometimes they can't open the door because they need the key code.

But I've also ordered stuff on amazon before where I've received everything fine and they didn't need my door entrance code so I dunno what will happen.

LOL. Newegg just gave me a tracking number for my copy but it's still listed in the packaging stage. If it really goes out tonight I imagine I'll get it in Thursday. I hope it doesn't take a couple of days to actually get out of the warehouse so that I'm not waiting until Monday to play it though.
 
I should be able to at least try it tomorrow night after work. From what I hear it's quite good. So far the best PS4 exclusive is the Last of Us refresh and Uncharted 4. Infamous was okay, Order 1886 was like 2 hours long, and Driveclub well... let's just say I'm not surprised the developer went belly up. To be fair, though, I haven't even unwrapped Bloodborne.

Really stoked for Horizon though.
