Horizon Zero Dawn reviews looking good...

This game looks awesome and I want to get it so bad because it would look awesome on my PS4 Pro and 4k TV but unfortunately Switch and Zelda are out next week so I have to wait until after I finish Zelda to get this.
 
Did this game bet delayed? For some reason I could have sworn it was coming out February 7th, and I was surprised I hadn't heard a peep about it, then last week I saw a commercial for it saying it wasn't out yet.

I'll snag it at some point. I still haven't even played Uncharted 4 yet 🙁
 
Came here to see if anything else was tempted to pick this up on launch. The reviews, expect a few, are very positive and points to a game worth getting. My only concern is that without multiplayer, there isn't a huge reason to get it at full price, especially when Zelda comes out a week later.

I beat Uncharted 4 this last weekend. Hard to believe it has been sitting on the shelf since last May.

i marathond all the Uncharted games in the past week. 4 was amazing, also has an HRD patch and looks stunning on a 4k TV

ive been excited about HZD for a long time. really looking forward to it and ill prob stream it as well if anyone cares. passing on zelda because i haven't owned a Nintendo console since the N64 and that isn't gonna change anytime soon
 
Thinking about picking it up when I get back from my trip. I just don't know if I will get into the story at all. It looks cool but I don't understand it's premise..Robotic dinosaurs and such. I'm waiting for some of you to play it and give a small review.

There are a ton of "pro" reviews out if you look on metacritic.
 
I just put in a preorder for it at newegg since they had it for $50. I was going to jump the second I saw it at $45 at Walmart, Best Buy, Target, Gamestop, wherever, and with tax factored in that would come to $48.71 anyways, so I figured what the hell, I'll pay the extra $1.29 to get it the week of launch (newegg doesn't charge sales tax in my state).

Every new release is 20% off at Amazon ... if you are a prime member.
 
Damn, still have to finish Uncharted 4 and was thinking there wouldn't be any good exclusives for a while. Then this game has to go ahead and come out. Still haven't played Last of Us remastered yet either (shaaame, shaaaame, I know)

Sooo, next week we have this game and Zelda. Hmmmm...
 
I just preordered. I had a BB giftcard from a return and didn't really have anything in mind for it, so it seemed like destiny. Plus 20% off with gamers club unlocked and I didn't have to pay much out of pocket. Looking forward to it.
 
This is literally the only game I have pre-ordered in my life. And only because

(1) The reviews are rock solid
(2) All the gameplay video I have seen dating back to E3 2016 has looked incredible
(3) Digital Foundry did a performance analysis showing it mostly stays locked to 30 fps
(4) Newegg had it cheap

That's the only way a studio is ever getting me to pre-order a game. I don't expect to pre-order any more games, not even Red Dead Redemption 2,
 
I hadn't planned on picking this up at launch. I've been seeing footage of the game for well over a year and the robot animals didn't really pique my interest. After having a guy say that the game is probably the best Playstation Exclusive behind The Last of Us, I have now been convinced I need to buy this day 1.
 
I have been looking forward to this for awhile. Was disappointed when pushed back, but will get it day 1. I like the story, openish world RPG part of it. I don't care about multiplayer, all I play online if FPS's.
 
Definitely picking this up, I really enjoyed the KZ series aside from the latest one which was short and mostly difficult. Played very well tho Guerilla is one of those devs who produce more polished stuff.

I have 2 stores near me that sell games before street date. I've only ever bought fighting games from em. One of em accepts cash only and charges $10 more, the other will take credit card and only charges $5 more so I go there if I ever get one.

There are no worries about getting your account banned that way? Wasn't Microsoft pretty notorious for banning accounts that were caught playing games before they launched? I don't think I'd even want to play modern games before the day 1 patch is available.

there is risk, both MS and sony have done it. its more likely if its a online or multyplayer game. i know people who got banned for playing destiny before it released
