YES. Like I said in a subsequent post, if I had this picture like this up in my cube at work I would likely get reprimanded for sexual harrassment. It could be two guys, two girls, or a guy and a girl. It would still happen.

The other poster on the website with the mask was much more tasteful and delivered the same message. The poster with the two hockey players is on the level of a tasteless PETA promotional stunt IMHO.

Wow, that i would not have guessed. Sounds extreme to me. We've had much "worse" posters hanging against STD's back when i was in school. One of them even showed a nipple!! On a woman nonetheless.

The poster isn't telling you what you are "allowed" to find offensive. Rather, the poster is simply pointing out that you are a homophobe.

"Disagreeing with homosexuality" is, by definition, homophobia. The term doesn't just have a narrow meaning of "fear of homosexuals" - actually, the more common or widely used meaning of the term "homophobia" is dislike of or bias against homosexuals or homosexuality. If you think that heterosexuality per se is preferable to homosexuality, then you definitely have homophobic biases with regards to sexual orientation.

I wonder if the people trying to pass this federal ban on same sex marriage have ever even read the Declaration of Independence. What part of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness do these people not understand? Seriously, these are the same minded people who had a problem with interracial marriage and women voters. Letting 2 people who are not you who are in love get married willingly and are both of legal age is by no means wrong. All it is is the right trying more and more to push their beliefs on people.

The only reason the poster is "provocative" is because we don't see many images in our culture of two people of the same sex kissing each other. Whereas we are bombarded every day with hundreds (probably thousands) of images of opposite-sex couples expressing physical affection. I think the poster is aiming to acclimatise homophobes to the idea that homosexuals actually express physical affection with each other through use of photographic imagery. The great thing about this approach is that no matter how many people complain, the poster will work it's magic. When you are bombarded with images of a certain type, you can't help but become acclimatised to them. That is the way our brains work. As for the message of the poster, I would say it is something like: "Gay teenagers exist. Gay kids have the same right to express physical affection and find happiness in relationships as you do. If you have a problem with this, then the problem lies with you, not with the gay kids. If you feel the need to make nasty anti-gay comments, then your presence isn't wanted here, so STFU."

I agree. I don't have a problem with people being homosexual, but that doesn't mean I have to agree with it or accept it. And being so doesn't make me homophobic.

That poster is going overboard, and I agree. People should be able to feel how they wish without being labeled as a bad person, whether they're gay, straight, or somewhere in between. Be what you want, but keep it to yourself.
