Sorry to hear this. As much as this is happening, it seems like we men should just go out, find a woman we can stand, buy her a house and give her half our paycheck. Would be a lot less expensive than hiring a divorce lawyer.

Last year has been very stressful for a lot of people. The whole nation is under WAY too much pressure right now. Our productivity went up something like 6% but folks are still losing their jobs or scared of losing them and it looks like that is causing some serious strain.

So, you got the papers?

Time for a party and to get on with your new lease on life!

She left behind all her legal stuff as well. I have her whole history on file.

She cashed our escrow refund check (I found out because I called the mortgage company) and decided not to tell me. So I call her at the jackasses house (she didn't know that I knew where she was living) and simply ask "Could you please mail me a check for half of the escrow, thanks"

I receive the check and low and behold she has a new last name...his!

So I called her folks and ask "did she marry that guy?" To which they begrudgingly answer "yes, yes, she did"

Did she marry him before your divorce was legally final?

Slap her with some retroactive bigamy charge! BWA HA HA HA HA HA

That b!tch has forgotten one thing, karma. She'll get hers one day and it will be a PISSER!
What good will come out off it?

Spidey07,

It sounds as if she screwed up & didn't want to admit her mistake. It is very likely that the guy is a scoundrel that why your mate left everything that she have with you & ask you for the money because she needed it.

Sorry, and good luck to you.

I think she screwed him on that cruise and couldn't face up to it.

Heck I even told her that I can forgive her for anything and would do absolutely anything to make it work.

Best of luck spidey.

With all these recent threads about divorce and wife cheating scares the crap out of me when thinking about getting marry at a early age.

I'm the comitted type and tend to fall deep easily.

you never know until you try. I don't think any couple or marriage starts off with "well this won't work out"

dude that sucks. but im confused in the timeline of events. can you give a quick run down on how all this transpired?

also im confused about the escrow thing.

end of august - goes on cruise
mid september say she's filing and leaving
first of october she is out of house staying at a friends
Mid november divorce is final and I come home to empty house (she scheduled the movers the day after it was final and took the stuff while I was at work)
Late november/early december - she goes on another cruise with this guy and marries.
12/30/03 Mom passes
1/2/04 I completely and totally lose it

Escrow - a cash balance used to pay for insurance and taxes on a house. Ours was about 3K and per the agreement half of that was mine. The check was forwarded to her new place of residency because it was addressed to both of us and USPS forwarded it because of a change of address.

Thanks, makes sense now.

guess i worded it wrong about he escrow. where did it come from and how was your mom involed...

My heartfelt condolences about the loss of your mother, spidey. Real mothers have a place in Heaven, I'm sure they do. :(

About your wife... I'm also sorry to hear that. I'm sure you'll get over it.

A portion of your mortgage goes to an escrow account to pay for insurance/taxes.

Mom was involved because we had joint assets (house, stuff, etc) and we split things up. I needed to pay th ex a pretty hefty sum of money. Mom was cool enough to have a trust fund setup for me in the event she ever passed and I was able to (reluctantly) pull the money from that rather than touch other investments I have. Since mom was still alive she and dad were in control of the trust.

A wise person once told me: Everyone always thinks the grass is greener on the other side of the fence..And it isn't.

I feel for ya man. Enjoy your fresh start. God Bless your mom.

This is why i will never let my wife go on vacation by herself. If she really wants to go that bad without me, then she can just go and never come back.

I think I learned my lesson. If it ever comes up again in the future I will simply have to say "I really don't want you to go...you see there is a perfectly reasonable explanation for it"

To which she'll reply "you don't trust me"..."of course I trust you, I just think when you come back you'll find me dead of a heart attack from the worry and emotional scar I carry"

That and cocktails.

What makes me happy right now? Talking with and being with a woman, buying stuff, cocktails and meeting new people. Might get that tube pre-amp I've always wanted.

Marry a man next time (for the tax benefits, not sexual or emotional stuff). Live life like a college person. Take the women, do your thing, cut them loose when they become tiresome and look for the next one.

thanks. I hopefully will. It just that I dated and waited to find my perfect mate after many serious relationships and I did.

Guess not.
