Has everyone forgot what happened in WWII??? Adolf Hitler rose to power on the platform that the Aryan race was superior to all others and that the Jewish race was the reason for the suffering of the German people. He then proceeded to try to wipe out all Jews on the planet earth, and purify the Aryan race... This lead to an all out war, as Hitler attempted to conquer the entire planet. The Jews WERE THE MAIN TARGET of Hitler... and noone but a stupid monkey could deny this. Furthermore... when HAVE YOU EVER been to a holocaust museum that didn't take time to memorialize EVERYONE who died in the Holocaust... Jews, and non-jews alike... it would be ludicrous to portray the Jewish part of the Holocaust and the Polish part of the holocaust on equal footing... that would be pure unadulturated stupidity.

But this concept that the Holocaust is overstated is ridiculous... those who forget history are doomed to repeat it. I personally lost 50 family members to death camps, concentration camps, and medical experiments by the Nazis.. Am I overstating things?... My relatives were boiled alive in cauldrons of hot water. Jews were skinned, and there body parts used for lamp shades.... Jewish cemeteries were raided and the grave stones used as roads between death camps... Jews were packed WORSE than cattle onto rail trains and shipped off to camps were they were gassed to death. I'm sorry but I fail utterly to see how Jews are OVERSTATING the holocaust...

This whole thread sickens me deeply to the inner depths of my soul.... The fact that this thread began with an article about ONE GAWDAMN DIARY OF ONE JEWISH GIRL.... and began a tirade of fvcking idiots about jews wining about the holocaust.... I have NEVER trashed the Jews for "whining too much." In fact, I have great respect for the efforts they have made to bring the horrors of the holocaust out of the shadows and into our mainstream culture.

The Jews were roughly 6 million out of tens of millions murdered by the Nazis. The Poles, Russians, Gypsies, gays and a whole host of other "undesirables" have equal stories to tell. Yet when one thinks of the Holocaust, one's mind focuses on the Jews and usually is ignorant about the others who suffered. In that way, the focus is just a bit out of proportion.

And again, THIS IS NOT A BAD THING on the part of the Jews. It is a sad thing that the other victims have not been able to gather together and proactively get their story out.

What you said above is correct.... many other people died in the holocaust.... and if you go to any holocaust memorial you will find plenty memorializing these people as well...

5 million others were killed systematically along with the Jews. 10s of millions of others were murdered in non-systematic ways. Whole villages wiped out in Eastern Europe is just as much a holocaust as what occured in the camps.

Yes, the Jews have been very gracious in including other groups. But let's face it, they are focusing on their own plight... and rightly so. I'm just making a point that the other groups should band together and tell their stories. For some reason, they have not done so... and it's sad.

I don't have a problem with a people as a whole - be that the French or the Jews, no matter - it's just a mass of people. I do, however, take disliking to the actions of certain representatives of a people.

Why should the Jewish activists mention them? six million Jews died, some managed to escape, but six million died. My grandparents managed to escape, many others, such as The Presence's relatives did not.

If you have anything to fight for, then make your voice heard FOR that, not AGAINST others in the same situation, unless your agenda is to defend the Holocaust or deny it, then you can just go kill yourself.

I understand the emotion. However, when one is reactionary, they appear shrill and their point becomes lost. Be calm, factual and proactive without responding to insults and you WILL win the debate. People will respect your opinion FAR more than the person who throws insults at other people.

Most of all I'm just appalled at how many people agreed with that 7th post.... if everyone had come out calling that guy an idiot troll it would have been one thing... but he actually had people agreeing with him....
