Hollywood can do whatever they want.

That said, there is really only one religion they will go after: Christianity. maybe one day they'll get over their bigotry.

You know, I've always wondered about something so simple about the Ark, yet rarely dicussed.....

Can someone please answer a simple question about the Ark and the "two by two" zoo that was put into the Ark? How long did the predator animals, like lions, cheetahs, leopards, tigers, jaguars, etc., wait for the prey herds to grow enough to sustain the predators? If the predators acted anything like they do today, they certainly decimated the prey pairs of animals within weeks, thereby leaving zero prey (simple extinction from predation) for the predators to consume, which in turn would naturally lead to the extinction of the predators.

Was it months? Years? And what did the predators eat until the prey herds were large enough to sustain the predators? Wheat? Barley? Rocks? Dirt? Or were the predators put in hibernation for a few years while the prey herds grew?

Just curious.
You can eat off a dinosaur for a long time.

Noah was a Christian? Judaism hadn't even been invented yet.

Wow, your numbers must be in the 10's. Never met a conservative Unitarian/universalist. I thought it was church for atheists with kids.

Don't know what numbers in the 10s means. Only economic conservative, libertarian otherwise except I'm more open to social welfare when done intelligently.

In the beginning there was Columbia. That was the first day. Then followed by dream works, universal, Disney and god said good grief. On the sixth day god created popcorn. On the seventh day god asked what time does the matinee start?

And in what way is this movie going after Christianity?

Simple question deserves a simple answer: It's not real. It's only a story.

A little history of religion for you. The story of Noah is in the Old Testament. The Jewish Bible, also known as Torah, is the Old Testament. The Old Testament came before the New Testament.

Don't try to appeal to sensibility and use facts on him. It's all a subversive attack on Christianity....whatever the attack on Christianity is.

And don't remind him the New Testament was assembled by what is now the Catholic Church. That'd make his head assplode.

Anyone that finds the movie offensive should just vote with their entertainment dollars to be spent elsewhere. I really don't see much of an audience for this movie ...

You know, I've never wondered about something so simple as this as far as I can recall, but how the heck do reindeer fly?

I was going to poke you in the eye about the old testament thing, but didn't take the time to find it.

Instead I'll leave you with these as I've read everything pretty much he's written I could get my hands on the last 50 years and a few others.

*shrug*

I'd like to see this. I tend to like movies with Russell Crowe in them.

Making movies! Making music! And a fightin' round the world!

He fights his directors and he fights his fans! It's a problem no one understands! If there's two things he loves it's fighting and...fighting around the world. Making movies! Making music! And a fightin' round the world!

I'ma gon boycott this movie because the Noah character didn't even have a pair of Christmas Trees. How could we possibly have Christmas today if the real Noah didn't save at least two Christmas Trees? Teh Jeezus decreed that we celebrate his birthday by decorating coniferous trees on Dec. 25 every year...and ordered Noah to take the trees on the Ark.

This is yet another librul attack in their War on Christmas!

They could never make the down and dirty equivalent of this movie with Mohammed. The US government would kill the project most likely.

No, it wouldn't get made here in the U.S. And the reason is very simple, maybe too simple for you to comprehend.

It wouldn't be economically viable as this country does not have a large enough Muslim base to support such an endeavor. Who'd pay to see it?

The government wouldn't have to do a darned thing.

...a movie about Napoleon, and portraying him as a tall Japanese-speaking crocodile hunter, who was into sky-diving and Russian roulette.

Dude, I would totally watch that.

Sounds better than a Noah movie TBH.

The story of noah in the USA is identified with Christianity.

While I am an atheist now, I was raised Jewish. I can say there is definitely a lot of ignorance about what Jews believe. Even worse, the ignorance about where Christianity came from.

However, I find it hard to believe a seriously religious person is so stupid not to be aware of the history of the story of Noah.
