Why? It's not a limited edition rollout, there will be more made and put on shelves. If you are presented with an easy and legal way to make $300 from somebody willing and happy to give you that money, then what's the big deal? Some poor joe has to wait an extra 3 weeks to get his console? Cry me a river.

I've always opposed this, because it's a dick move. Quit being a greedy shitbag.

Don't bother. In a week or two after launch, you'll be able to walk into any Walmart/Best Buy/Fry's/etc and walk out with a PS4. Its using an 18 month old CPU/GPU on a proven mature manufacturing process with a 5400rpm drive. Unless they colossally screw up, there's going be little, if any, shortage.

Someone doesn't remember the Wii launch...

Its better than the guy who camped out to get a ps3 and then went in the parking lot next to where everyone was lined up to get one and smashed it in front of them. To me that's the lowest of the low. Some kid would have very much loved to have that for Christmas but you just wanted attention.

I have 2 ordered from amazon. I plan on selling one right off the bat and keep one for myself. If the demand and price is super huge though I'm going to sell the 2nd as well.

I'm gonna try and make it to the buy 2 get one free game sale at target. I'll have 4 games and the system and put it up for sale on eBay with at least a reserve price. See what I get, I don't mind waiting for another.

Edit: people are selling their launch day consoles on eBay for $600+ ending in a couple of minutes, already at 15-25 bids. Shouldn't be an issue selling these like hot cakes if you wanted to.

If people are dumb enough to buy them then what's the problem. An item is only worth as much as someone is willing to pay for it.

Because you are taking from society without contributing anything? You are simply being a nuisance and a middleman, creating bloat where there shouldn't be any.

Some people will do anything for a bit of money and can't think about anybody but themselves.

Yeah, the price will only go up, if only briefly temporary, as it gets closer to launch.

The problem isn't that people are reselling them. It is the artificial demand the manufacturers create. For things like consoles, nobody is forcing you to buy a launch edition. For things that are limited runs (shoes are notorious), the reselling market is ridiculous. I have shoes I paid retail for ($150-250) I could resell for a lot more than that. My pair of Galaxy Foamposities can easily fetch over $1800 if I wanted to sell them. And Nike still makes the exact same shoe, just different color schemes every month or two.

The resellers of PS4s are simply capitalizing on people's inability to have some patience and wait. They have to have the product right now and are willing to pay extra for it.

Really worth it? $420 if Amazon taxed you. $600 = about $80 in eBay and pay pal fees.

After about $40 shipping (PS4 is a huge box and you'd have to ship in an even larger box)

You'd pocket like $60. I think Ill just work an extra hour or two and enjoy my new PS4 at that point.

Ill sell mine if they are $800+ on launch week and everyone wants one. If not, I didn't buy this to sell anyway. Just had to vote with my wallet and be part of the 3000 to 1 preorders against Microsoft but there aren't any games I want on launch now, and the stand against DRM was a success.

I wouldn't do free shipping. And @ $600 sale price, eBay is showing $64 in fees. Minus the 4% form PayPal, and it isn't awful.

Also, you don't have to pay the fees right away. You get charged a total at the end of the month.

So, you'll get $576 + shipping and pay the $64 dollars later. And since you won't charge under what the estimated shipping would be, you'd pocket over $100.

bundles sell worse than just the console itself. at least back when i sold 360, wii, and ps3 they did.

games aren't hard to find, and people want the console only so they can go pick their own games out.

Wouldn't be awesome if Sony and MS produced enough units to cover the pre-order AND fulfill demand for it in store?

And all the scumbags stockpiling pre-orders were stuck reselling them at a loss?

God, please let that happen.

or just returning them to the store for no loss at all hassle free.

i preordered a ps4 with the intention of keeping it, 2 seconds after the preorders were available on amazon. as it got closer to launch there are fewer and fewer games i care about. so might as well try to make some $$ off of it. if i can't, i'll just drop it at a UPS with a return label from amazon, and will have spent about 30 seconds for the whole process.

Basically, all you're doing is showing that you're so poor you thought months in advance that you would plan this big scheme so you could be such an awesome "businessman" and make.... a few hundred dollars.

Do you enjoy advertising the fact that you are most likely either unemployed or part time minimum wage? Because nobody making even 40k/yr is going to bother with what you're doing. It's just not worth their time.

If you need any soup cans to hold you over on christmas let me know. I know it can be tough living below the poverty line, and I have lots of campbells chicken broth I can donate so you don't go hungry on christmas.

PM if you need help ():)

You too, judging by your post count you must be living in a McDonalds parking lot with free wifi posting all day and all night.():)

I'll take that broth, I might be able to flip it for some cash to the people waiting in line for the PS4 in the cold.

yeah good one, way to judge someone based on their console opinions, you fit right in here with those thoughts.

good thing they raised our wages to $15/hr or else i couldn't afford to buy any console.
