HL2DM released/Steam Update, but beware, it's causing some people to not be able to play any Source games!

Just came on this morning and saw that they have released HL2DM. Awesome I thought, and promptly restarted Steam and allowed it to install.

However, I am now unable to play any Source game (HL2, CS: S, HL2: DM). Non-Source games (HL, CS etc) work OK. I've restarted my PC, still no dice.

The Steam forums are down (possibley due to hundreds of people complaining about not being able to play anything), as soon as I know anything, I'll update this thread.

I suggest you don't restart Steam at the moment if you feel that you cannot risk possibly being not able to play HL2. Thankfully I am going to work in 15 minutes, so hopefully by the time I'm back it will be fixed.


***UPDATE***

If you were experiencing any problems, please restart Steam, as they have released another small update to Steam, which has fixed this problem.
 
I tried reinstalling it, no go. Same with rebooting, and restarting steam.

None of my source engine games work at all 🙁
 
guys, give us a list of how many files you have in your HL2 deathmatch folder please. those of you who work.

Exactly the same as mine, and mine doesn't work either.

Mine still doesn't work, but I deleted and reloaded, and this is what I got.
 
just installed HL2DM and it won't load for me either. I tried rebooting, deleting the directory content from properties, and manually deleting the deathmatch directory, and reinstalling, but still a no go! this sux
