HL2DM released/Steam Update, but beware, it's causing some people to not be able to play any Source games!

Well, using GCFScape I just extracted the HL2DM file into my steam directory.

Now I get this....

58.5 MB (61,421,687 bytes)
272 Files, 29 Folders

And it still doesn't work...

The zip (actually RAR) file is 20.4mb...I thought gmail could only do 10mb attachments?

I saw this posted somewhere, to validate the dm files. it didn't work for me, but someone said it fixed their problem. so might want to give it a try

I was just wondering, because I can't play HL2 either, and there was an update for that as well. So for the guys that have both working, I was wondering if there was a difference in file size for them.

As you try to play the game, you get the "Downloading resources" screen, and it has a banner at the bottom, tells you who is providing the content to you.
