I click on those images....and they are blurry....can't read them.
I've noticed this before sometimes with other links/images.
Is there something wrong with my IE6?
Just click on it. IE/Mozilla/etc. resize the image to make it fit the window.
I do and it's blurry. Can't read a word.
Not for me in IE or Firebird. You can turn off image resizing in IE's options.

Hold your mouse over the image for a second. A little square box will pop up in the lower left corner. Click this and it will give you the image in original size instead of the "sized to fit" version you are seeing now.
We've ( the hl2.net staff ) managed to get our hands on a copy and can confirm it's real. Funky stuff, shame it was leaked though.
Yes, it's real. Not necessarily current, but it's no fake.

I remeber when the Quake source got leaked but this is 1000x worse. The game is not even out yet!
It was leaked a year or so before that. Someone hacked into (I forget the site's name) and stole the source. I still have it somewhere.Originally posted by: ViRGE

Quake wasn't leaked; Carmack gave it out under the GPL so that everyone could benefit from his work.

Well, for one thing, companies that want to build games based on the HL2 engine pay millions of dollars for this kind of info. For another think, lame h4x0rs can figure out ways to exploit bugs to cheat.
Well, no company is going to build a game on leaked code. It's the mod and h4x0rs that are going to benifit.
Maybe, but who's going to find out? Besides, they can just borrow components which they need and nobody will be able to prove anything.

Only a matter of time before this is all over IRC and Newsgroups.
That makes sense with what dwell said.Originally posted by: Manhole

Taking a look at the "HL2 source" it seems there is a lot of HL1 code and not much new. Did they build the engine off of HL1??? I thought it was from scratch.

Heres another comment from the HL1 SDK:
// ISoundMask - Overidden for human grunts because they
// hear the DANGER sound that is made by hand grenades and
// other dangerous items.
And here is it's somewhat edited twin in the supposed Half-Life 2 SDK
Purpose: Overidden for human grunts because they hear the DANGER sound
As you can see the author of the fake SDK went ahead and changed some stuff here and there to make it look like the Half-Life 2 SDK. There is more but I'm not going to post it all here."
