I click on those images....and they are blurry....can't read them.

I've noticed this before sometimes with other links/images.

Is there something wrong with my IE6?

Just click on it. IE/Mozilla/etc. resize the image to make it fit the window.

I do and it's blurry. Can't read a word.

Not for me in IE or Firebird. You can turn off image resizing in IE's options.
Bingo! That worked.
Thanks. 🙂

Hold your mouse over the image for a second. A little square box will pop up in the lower left corner. Click this and it will give you the image in original size instead of the "sized to fit" version you are seeing now.

Thanks for the tip. That's neat. (except for me it appears in the lower right corner)

I don't think I'd be posting screen shots to prove I had it no matter what 😀
Sucks bad for valve, guessing longer delays for some multiplayer changes now?

I remeber when the Quake source got leaked but this is 1000x worse. The game is not even out yet!

Quake wasn't leaked; Carmack gave it out under the GPL so that everyone could benefit from his work.

It was leaked a year or so before that. Someone hacked into (I forget the site's name) and stole the source. I still have it somewhere.

Taking a look at the "HL2 source" it seems there is a lot of HL1 code and not much new. Did they build the engine off of HL1??? I thought it was from scratch.

Well, for one thing, companies that want to build games based on the HL2 engine pay millions of dollars for this kind of info. For another think, lame h4x0rs can figure out ways to exploit bugs to cheat.

Well, no company is going to build a game on leaked code. It's the mod and h4x0rs that are going to benifit.

Maybe, but who's going to find out? Besides, they can just borrow components which they need and nobody will be able to prove anything.

Um... let's say you steal a large chunk of VERY valuable code. Turns out this very valuable code has a quirk (e.g. corona banding around lights in the original UT when using openGL). Uh oh, everyone realizes you stole it and you get sued into oblivion. Or maybe this code has a security hole which valve issues a patch for. Someone sees your code has the same hole. Uh oh, everyone realizes you stole it and you get sued into oblivion. Seriously, no remotely-intelligent company (e.g. nobody but SCO) would steal this code.

From isonews;

"It's fake. Someone took the HL1 SDK and reworked it to make it look like the Half-Life 2 SDK

Heres another comment from the HL1 SDK:

// ISoundMask - Overidden for human grunts because they
// hear the DANGER sound that is made by hand grenades and
// other dangerous items.

And here is it's somewhat edited twin in the supposed Half-Life 2 SDK

Purpose: Overidden for human grunts because they hear the DANGER sound

As you can see the author of the fake SDK went ahead and changed some stuff here and there to make it look like the Half-Life 2 SDK. There is more but I'm not going to post it all here."

That makes sense with what dwell said.

Looking further into it, it's not a fake. I don't know exactly what it is but it definitely has a lot of HL2 code in it. It seems HL 1 & 2 work off of the same code base. There is code in there of TF2 and Counterstrike as well.

There is too much code for it to be fake but I don't think you can compile it and play the game. For starters there are no textures or maps included.

I am deleting the code. I have no reason to have it and don't want it. Sucks for Valve that it was leaked, I have the game on pre-order.

So what does "Mr. Developer" who posted this thread have to say about that?

stupid....stupid....stupid conclusion.

Ever heard about recycled code ?

Just because comments sound familiar does not mean its not HL2 code. Why would they rewrite everything? They can reuse functional modules of code from HL1 which is what OO programming is all about.
