Obama and Romney were practically the same for all intents and purposes. Their plans and ideas were eerily similar. Even if we hadn't elected Obama I don't think it would have made much of a difference.

That's a great question, and I have being try to decide for awhile now. One thing is for certain, I will absolutely not vote for Shillary.

I could vote Green to help establish a 3rd party, but the democratic system is so broken, that's basically like hoping to win the lottery without buying a ticket. It's still a much better use of my vote than Shillary though!

At this moment, I am leaning towards the Republican candidate, whoever it turns out to be. Doesn't even matter. Trump might be better than Cruz, assuming you can believe anything he says. Let the next economic bubble crash on a Republican term, and then we can try again with Elizabeth Warren.

I assume sarcasm, but that is one of the reasons I can't support Republicans. The other is that they can't seem to keep their noses out of people's private lives; the Christian Right wants to run this country like a quasi theocracy.

If I were president, the only wars I'd support were ones that I'd be willing to personally lead into battle. And I think that's the way it should be.

I'm a pacifist, but sometimes there's just no other option. Or you do have other options, but they're even less humane from a utilitarian standpoint.

It's quite amazing that the right can complain about the budget, while spending trillions on wars. Everything pales in comparison to our military spending -- I feel like we're still riding the high from the Cold War era arms race... we've just kind of forgotten that we don't actually have anybody to use all these weapons on.

Honestly I did not think Sanders had a chance since the party leaders pretty much choose Clinton but he's leading or very close in the first several races. May have to vote in the Dem Primary this time instead of the Republican one.
