Hillary is a rich old lady.

That she cares anything but other than her comfort, her fame, etc.

She has no idea of today's trials and tribulations.

-John

Well I don't know about all that.
All I remember is when the Clinton's were in power things were pretty damn good for the average joe.
And I was checking my 401K a few days ago and a bit shocked how it had gained.
Had gained some 20K in just the last 6 months.
Then I had this dreadful feeling, what would happen under another Bush, or under a Trump, or god forbid a Christie or Scott Walker?

Looking beyond all the fun and games of politics i.e. Trump, or any of the other republicans in the mix, I'd say the true sound solid conservative thing to do would be with keeping a democrat in the presidency.
And going from past experience, proven worthiness, I'd say Hillary would be a very sound solid conservative decision.
Sure, its a hell of a lot of fun watching Donald do his thing on TV as a presidential candidate, or watch Christie get all red faced and testy, or Jeb deciding if the Iraq war was a good thing or a bad thing?
Sure, all that fun and games delivers some rather entertaining TV indeed.

But in the end, speaking seriously now, it all boils down to YOU and your finances.
Boils down to your security.
Boils down to a return of pain and suffering, or continued good times.
And since most modern day retirement plans rely on that investment and that 401K plan, history proves that it doesn't take much to bring that all crashing down.
All it takes is one bad president, followed by poor decisions, and there you are.
There you are wondering what the hell did you do with your vote, why did you do it, and how soon till I can vote this sucker out of office?

If I were gambling and relying on past performance, it would be Hillary hands down.
Fun is fun, games are games, and entertainment is entertaining, but is it wise to bet the farm on that big mouth funny guy with the fancy tie?
Or bet the farm on one of the many other long shots?

Obviously anyone, anyone at all can run for president.
But... who is actually qualified to be the president?
And who would you trust with your 401K?

I have to say that your election really do up the entertainment factor.

We just get boring, disingenuous bastards over here. You get all kinds of batshit insane disingenuous bastards over there.

Dude if you have any means of watching the Republicans first debate do it. Given there will be a bunch of crap the simply isn't relevant to you I believe you'll love it. The pure ass clownery, funny faces and simple pandering.

And remember, every question can be used to bash Obama/Hillary while not actually being answered.

On a 1-10 rating. 10 is best 1 is worst.

Trump is 2. I would give him a 1, but, I think the senate/congress would limit his damage.

Hillary is 5.

99% of ATers who do NOT want the office, I would rate 6-10, even the conservatives.

Bernie I'd give a 6.

Anybody who "wants" the office, is probably unqualified for it.

If it's streamed anywhere then I can probably get to see it.

I'd kinda like Trump to win just for entertainment value given that it wouldn't be my country he'd be screwing but there's the whole WWIII I'd be worrying about!

Ha you bring up an interesting point. Trump visiting the Kremlin, Trump has a huge fascination with gold and gold plated items. Kind of like the Russian Tsars did. I wonder if Trump would be envious of Putin gold stuff?

I've seen that done so masterfully by the Repubs decades ago. Now, going from answering a question about their kid's college plans to slamming Obama and now Hillary is exactly like flipping a switch. There's no nuance, no sleight of hand, no mesmerizing, no charismatic hypnotism, no flair, no grace.

Instead, it's like "Well yeah, the kids are looking at several ivy league schools but Obama is going to get us all killed anyway so what's the use? Huh? HUH!?"

Right now Jim Webb makes me want to register Democrat so I can vote in the primaries. I just might. But between wise and beautiful woman Clinton and Toupee Trump, I'll vote for Clinton just to punish the Tea Party.
