And they thought jeb was the defacto gop nominee.

The GOP fanned the flames of stupid birther 'Obama is a Muslim who wants to destroy America' type shit for the past 7 years, and then they are surprised when their base rejects anyone who won't repeat the same bullshit or go even further.

Oh, and then there's the fact that Jeb was a Bush and the sibling of a fucking disastrous mess of a president.

Yes it is correct that the number of Millennials who will be voting will increase while the number of remaining senile Conservatives will decrease.

It is therefore correct if you say that we see the (beginning of the) end of the GOP, right now. I am convinced this is so and Trump is an obvious result of this, of course.

We have clowns up there right now, Climate change deniers and the worst of the scum the Right has to offer; after this election is done there is no chance in hell that folks will vote for any of such clowns.

** As for LegendKiller's 900th retarded, robot-like echoing of idiocy stereotypes, you see that 95% of the conservatards can only think and talk that way, that liberals/Millennials are "lazy".

Let's just ignore the fact that indeed the BACKBONE of the US economy is young companies, I don't need to mention Apple, Google, Facebook etc. and countless other successful companies which are all overwhelmingly liberal, founded and operated by younger, successful people.

While conservatards and in particular Trump supporters sitting in their trailers, many on welfare or low-paid jobs due to lack of education and lots of them on meth or other drugs. But you know, those losers need to blame SOMEONE ELSE for their shitty lives and low pay, of course it's "liberals" and "Mexicans" who are all out to get their "hard earned" money.

Except that mid term elections are just as important as presidential elections.

But we were talking about a presidential election, not a mid term.

And participation numbers haven't changed much within any age group in regards to midterms. Not to mention that people tend to become more politically involved as they get older. The oldest millennials are now 34 and will range in ages 20 to 38 by the 2020 elections and will likely be larger voting block than the baby boomers.

No, we are talking about change and change in politics doesn't happen if people don't vote. Period. Picking which elections to vote in doesn't make democracy better, vote in all elections or suffer the consequences.

I remember when Bernie first announced he's running. His first stated goal was to move Hillary to the left which he's obviously done.

Once she is elected she will spring back to her original positions. Expect more TPP and trade agreements that will ship more america jobd overseas. More H1B visas and more war.

Last time I checked I was the OP and I'm referring to presidential elections. Mid term elections never have and probably never will have the same participation levels from any group. 2014 was an historic low from every demographic. Change comes in a variety of ways and Presidents and Presidential Candidates are a big part of that. The Republican Party will not last if they cannot elect a president. As one party fades another will fill the void. The G.O.P. is split between many ideological subgroups and none of them are things that you can expect the entire country to embrace wholly. So this leaves your establishment/moderate/bigbank Republicans (Rove, Romney, Bush, Kasich, Christie) who have the money, connections, power, etc etc. as the group carrying the most power. By and large their polices are not much different than your typical establishment Democrat and they know this. They also know that their best hope to sustain their power and influence is to join them. This would of course discourage the still growing force of liberal democrats which will cause them to break off and form a new political party.

Bernie Sanders ran an excellent campaign and fared far better than anyone would have imagined. If he had done better with minorities we'd probably be having a different conversation. But he still motivated alot of people (particularly young) to get involved in politics and to get informed about things that the media doesn't really talk about. This will resonate in future elections.

Granted alot of what I'm saying above will depend on how Hillary will run the White House and that will depend on what we end up with in the House and Senate. As it stands right now things will probably be split in which case Hillary will probably try to curry favor with the establishment wing of the G.O.P. to get things done which means liberals will get a their ice cream delivered to them on top of a shit sandwich. This would also be her best best at securing a second term because having the establishment Republicans on her side would leave the G.O.P. in such a shambles that not only would they lack viable candidates to put up; they would also lack the funding to run their campaigns. Any coverage they get will be strictly for comic relief.

.....and the transitioning process will have begun.

The thing is at no point since our 2nd president have we had just one political party. If one falls, another will take it's place. The establishment Republicans will kick the religious and racist bigots to curb in a heartbeat if there is something in it for them and once the Baby Boomers die off we won't be fussing over who is using what bathroom and gays getting married. Social issues have been the only major difference between Democrats and Republicans since the Reagan era and having a new party is what will make the difference.

The political landscape has permanently changed and so too have the rules. The 2016 Election will be historically known as the beginning of 21st century American politics.

Yeh- She'll go right on supporting civil, women's & voting rights. Advocating support for strapped families. Upholding SS, medicare & the ACA. Managing the commons, the system of public lands, infrastructure & the welfare state that's there if we need it.

She is extraordinarily well qualified to be President, which is why Repubs hate her so desperately at this point.

the president has to sign those bills in to law.

he/she hopefully he, has the power to veto them.

Doesn't seem to matter if Congress keeps putting pork in every bill.. this budget/ hurricane rescue/ flood rescue will only pass if the guy paying my campaign bills gets more H1B visas or bombs to sell to the military.

Hypocrisy level 10.
Could you possibly be more bigoted?
Last thought, what do all those successful liberal company's have in common that helps make them so successful? It's an easy answer, but you'll never crack the code because you can't see the people you hate. You don't have any empathy, you see inferior people that deserve nothing but your scorn. You sir, are blind.

And Obama fanned racial tensions, economic malaise, continued offshoring, unfettered illegal immigration...etc

That somebody like Bernie could even get a toe-hold in the DNC with the first woman running as Pres tells you a lot. People think the situation sucks. It has little to nothing to do with birtherism. I never believed it for a second but everything else fucking sucks.

But of course the Republicans sooooo have their shit together in these days LMAO.

Right now, the only way The Republican Party could possibly do any worse would be to clone Hitler so they could nominate him for president.

Neither party has their shit together. We have been handed massively shitty candidates from both sides and enough is enough, but fuck me if this country elects a socialist.

Problem for you is that studies also show once Millennials become employed and start becoming the giver in the social welfare system, support for socialism drops rapidly.

The rest of your post is yet more of your pissy fit. Take a few days off from the internet. It'll do you some good.

Interesting. I never realized a 40-year old company with a 55-year old CEO is considered young...

Lot's of young companies in this list:
http://fortune.com/fortune500/

You also listed a company with just a tad over 12k employees as "the BACKBONE of the US economy." Your posts continue to prove you are incapable of forming logical arguments and conclusions. I'm not surprised you turned out to be a Bernie Bros.

I guess there's nothing else for the Repub faithful to do than go down with the RNC Titanic. Sad really.

But I get the feeling some would prefer to take the nation down with them if possible, so.....not so sad after all. 😉

Yeah, how dare some people actually want to lock the doors of the country once in a while.

I bet every liberal on this board goes home and does that every night. The irony is thick.

Funny how you mention Zucky. They spent $16mm on his security last year and he spent $100mm buying up all of the homes around him so he'd have "privacy" in his nice neighborhood. Why doesn't he allow open borders and a lack of security, after all, he preaches that for the rest of the country who actually has to deal with his hypocrisy.

But I guess his young liberal life is worth more than Kate Stynle.

The problem with liberals is that they have tons of compassion and understanding, yet when it comes down to it, they are just as Byzantine as the rest of us. The vast majority want to keep their money and their sovereignty. This is the true hypocrisy.

As I have dared Jhnnn before, and he refuses to acknowledge, because he can't counter it, I dare you to unlock your doors every night and put a sign out in front of your yard that announces that. Furthermore, you should allow anybody in that wants to come in. They can sleep next to your kids, your wife, eat your food, demand part of your paycheck.

Until you do that, then you are nothing but a fucking hypocrite like Zucky or DeCrapio (who flies around the world with a bunch of skanks on private jets, helicopters, and boats, but tells everybody else to cut back on carbon footprint).

Now you know how I feel. Fuck me if this country elects a reality TV celebrity. Granted, I am unclear why you're afraid of Americans having the same first-world government services we find in much of Europe. You are probably just as unclear as to why I oppose giving the most powerful job in the world to a pugnacious blowhard.

No, LK is thick. Dumb analogy is dumb.

As opposed to whom? A person who hasn't done a single noteworthy thing in her life? A man who has never held a real job?

There is a difference between what bernie wants and what Europe has.

It isn't a dumb analogy. There is no difference between you locking your door for your house and only letting the people in you want to let in and our country doing the same.

Liberals wants to open it up wide, then they should do the same to their homes.

Fortunately, neither of those caricatures are running. We do have a reality TV game show host running, however.

Rome wasn't built in a day. It will take time for Americans to gain the fundamental services our first-world cousins take for granted.

Sorry, it's still a dumb analogy; there are countless differences between a house and a nation. But, if that's the only way you can grasp the situation, I'll point out that America's doors are locked...but the locks are imperfect, we have thousands of miles of windows, we're vulnerable to tunnels, we have two vast pools with shores inside the house, and most of all, we have millions of invited visitors to our "house" every year, many of whom don't go home at the end of their stay. Now, if that describes your house too, I'll give you a pass on the dumb analogy (along with my heartfelt sympathies).

You call a super porous southern border which we have absolutely no real control over and allowance of illegals in our house, having our doors locked?

This, ladies and gentlemen, is liberal smugness to the max. You can't even control who is in your house but you proudly proclaim it locked up and deride others as stupid.

Pathetic.

Trump is in a statistical tie with clinton in Ohio. Just wait for it.

A few more "make America Mexico again" demonstrations and you'll see this turn into a rout.
