Well I gues my speakers aren't calibrated right, because when that first bass begins in the song i posted, the whole room begins to shake and my logitech x-530's begin to fap.

Or they just kinda stink, I wouldn't expect much from the X-530s. The link you posted sounds nice hereon my Z-5500s, but its not room rattling. And that link MS Dawn posted is fricken awesome!

Yeah they probably just stink.

Weak. My Z2300s took that on easily. I say get a better source file even..

Starting at the 3 min mark.. doesn't that remind you of the Batman Begins song? Almost like the notes are inverted...

Good lord if you think that has a lot of bass your system must be way over eq'd.

Want to hear real bass? Give this a shot. No limiting or rolloff used. With a real subwoofer (extension to below 20 Hz) it makes the air move in the room big time.

DING DING DING. Looks like some people are running their subs WAYYYY to high. There is nothing in that song that could even constitute a bass test

oh yes there is😀

*loving the clip*

edit: jsut finished it.

WOW:shocked: is all that I can say

If theres that much then your system is not calibrated

It's not quantity...its quality

Yes I agree, its got great tonal quality, but anyone saying it was crazy bass, simply has an uncalibrated system

mine is fine and it has GREAT bass to it....

also, the mids REALLY let your speaks stretch out their legs.

THe muffled trumpet and the sax sound ....""

It is so fvking amazing....

I have quality stuff. That's what I do. 🙂

gimme gimme....I  96khz stuff since my sound card can output it without resampling it...

it resamples everything else:frown:

I can do 192k also but there's a limit on putfile and it really probably won't make much of a difference. The synclavier has 100k samples and the highs are there to > 40kHz according to the B&K but you'd have to be a bat or rat to hear them. 😉

gimme 96 then..😛 my receiver supports 192 but my SC only supports 96🙁

The human ear can't hear much past 20Hz, even if your earbuds could actually reproduce 6Hz.

I am right.

Have proof other than the manufacturers specs/FR graph?

Not bad on my dual SVS's.

Pretty decent. Not there with The Haunting, Chapter 16 from Titan AE, or Toy Story 2, but up there.

Can we get an mp3 of "Baroclinic Aptitude"? I'd love to test out my HT sub with it.

Yeah I was just about to send MsDawn a pm about it. 96 wav would also be great if you could. 😀

THIS song always used to make my Klipsch sub fart (port turbulence?). My M200's have no problem though. I'm sure its not the bassiest song out there, but it does make my room shake a bit.

Here is another good one I think. And yet another that sounds like its punching a hole in my walls.

Interesting tracks, they sound good on my system. Thanks. 🙂

For the folks that say you cannot hear below 20 Hz you are sadly mistaken.

I've been given demos where 3 Hz is audible. Imagine riding a motorcycle at 150mph three inches away from telephony poles. (not that I would ask anyone to try that) - it's amazing.

There is a pipe organ in France with a 64 foot pipe that resonates at 8 Hz and that is very audible. It's more of a feeling than a sound. Ditto for armature elements moving inside of your ear at single digit frequencies.

Higher resolution (96k 24bit) will not produce the bass any cleaner.

I can make a sweep from DC to any frequency you like at any speed you want. It will have your speakers for lunch if abused though.
