Yeah, what's the deal with more than one person having the same power?

Flying boy and Peter, Takezo and Claire? I don't think they can be related simply because that would make Claire and superboy related (Peter being Clarie's father and all, so superboy would be related however distantly).

Hrm..

by peter you mean nathan.

and it's like xmen - there are plenty of people with powers who they haven't located yet 😛

I always mix their names up.

EDIT: But in X-Men, there are no two people with the same power IIRC.

Lady Deathstrike and Wolverine.

Wolverine's power is regeneration, upon wikipediaing Lady Deathstrike it appears you are wrong.

professor and jean grey - both psychic/telekinetic 😀

I wanna know what comicbook character has the eyeball leaky tears death cloud power...

Ok, for some reason I was thinking she got killed last season and this chick just had a similar power. The brunette was pretty damn hot....

fyi: She's on Reaper now.

I have a suspicion that Kensei/Sark is gonna turn out to be a bad guy. Anyone else?

I don't know what to think on this season so far.

I don't think people should be so obsessed with the duplicate powers thing, reading it as some indication of lineage. So far, I haven't seen anything indicated that the same powers are ever passed on...only that you probably get a random power if your parents had them. Which of course makes no sense, especially since the show blabs about evolution being the cause a lot...but that does seem to be how its written!

The good:

Peter is finally acting like the badass we all knew he was. I'll accept the annoying box thing for now as long as he doesn't revert to being a helpless moron like he was all season 1.

I'm actually enjoying the Hiro in the 1600s thing, although yeah...that sword message in a bottle thing doesn't make a lot of sense.

Hartman is also less of a bumbling moron now that he has some kind of purpose.

The bad:

Hate the oil eye twins already. I find this a far more lame substory then DL and Nicky by far...especially since at least their powers were cool and Nicki is hot. Plus, as shown in this episode, they are in fact complete and total morons. Quick car stealing lesson: Do not try to break into the car parked on main street in broad day light with a cop standing 20 feet from it.

I really felt we needed more of a time out from Sylar, since he was the big villian last season.

Yeah, they suck so bad it ain't even funny. I'm so sick and tired of the brother "It'll be OK, I'm here, everything's gonna be OK." Man, STFU!

They are 10x worse thank Nikki/Jessica EVER were.

It's lame because the same thing happens to those two in each episode. She kills someone, he reverses it, says it'll never happen again. Repeat.

Lady Deathstrike and Wolverine.

I'm no X-men expert by far... but aren't those two technically not natural mutants but were actually scientifically altered. If that were the case, you could do the same thing (in respect to physical body constraints if applicable) to anyone.

Also, it seems that making babies doesn't necessarily pass the "gift" down the line at all.

Nikki (super strength) + DL (phase shifting) = Micah (control/speak to technology)

Nathan (flying) + Hippie chick (fire) = Claire (healing)

Clearly. Im no expert either, but i do know that wolverine has the mutant power of regeneration. His blades and skeleton are some seriously hard metal, but his mutant power was why he got those things.

I don't mean to say that it has to do with genetics, because as you've said, it's clearly not. I just find it slightly odd that they'd have two characters who can do the same thing. You'd think they'd want some diversity, no? I think they had some reason to give a second character the same ability.

this was the first thing she explained to Sylar when he woke up - she'd changed her name and appearance

They may both be psychic, but Professor X isn't telekinetic.

I don't think she is dead now either. Its all an illusion to Syler.

It would seem awfully lax of the Company to put him in such a low security environment and risk losing him again.

Lady Deathstrike and Wolverine have the same powers. Hers were just made and not natural. And im not talking bout the skeleton. Im talking bout the regen.

The concern is about duplicate NATURAL powers. Lady Deathstrike is a cyborg not a mutant.

I missed the part where it was stated natural.

Doesn't look like Sylar killed off Candice unless she fell off Weight Watchers. IIRC when she was knocked out last year she was skinny. The girl Sylar whacked was a plus size.
when she was talking to Micah during last season she revealed that she was a fatty.
Why do I not remember her character from last season? That's not the hot brunette that was watching Micah at Linderman's place is it? I thought she died last season?

That when she spoke to Micah, she said she is currently fat or that as one point she was a fatty? In Season One when she was knocked out, she transformed from the image she as casting to a 'skinny' girl. But in Season Two when she ends up sucking floor she looks fat. I can't rationalize why there would be a difference.

Are we guessing Sylar's powers don't work because of the location or is there another Haitian type guy around? Or his injuries?

I dont know but it looks to me like Heroes just warped into Lost at the end there.

in x-men, powers were often linked to some sort of genetic mutation. in Heroes, powers are more likely to be linked to ancestry or lineage - if you have a power, you are probably the descendant of some mythical hero.

his power of regeneration is what enabled him to survive the procedure that embeded the metal into his body.

Well I think she's dead right now. Sylar did attempt to use her power and no one has ever been alive after Sylar took their power (he does cut their head open and probably examine their brains), so I assume she's dead. She may be able to keep an illusion when knocked unconscious, but now she's kind of dead.

The illusion was probably her making him think that he knocked her out. That whole place he is in is an illusion.

I agree. I said this before. Also, Why would they go to the trouble of recasting her if she dies in the first scene she appears in this season.

Or she wasn't really the one doing it after all.
