Tripleshot, if that last comment was being sarcastic, it's very funny :)

But I have a feeling it was completely serious, which kind of scares me :Q

The reason I'm upset is that even though we are enemies each other so we are bombing them in order to win the war, we should honor their lives (especially civilians'). We are not 100% sure that those bombs wouldn't kill any civilians. But I couldn't find any that kind of feeling except a joke.

Have you? Besides, there are seven million Muslims in the US and hundreds of millions in other countries. Not a war against Islam eh? Way for our troops to show it. You don't have to be on any side to see that that was wrong and quite frankly, sickening.

3000 lives lost in WTT 9/11. We do not exploit pictures of that, do we? War is upsetting. People get hurt. People die. many of our own have died. I remember in my mind as I type this, pictures of the soldiers dead on the floor being kicked around by some ignorant Iraqi A hole before a camara. This crap you just posted is just more of the same from the same source, geared to ryle those who are too faint of heart to understand the brutality of war. You are pissed that children get hurt in the crossfire? Talk to the hand, sport. I don't see you complaining about human sheilds at gunpoint forced to die to protect the chickensh!t so called republican guard troops. This is propaganda. This is crap. I'm an American who is damn proud of the job therse troops did in LIBERATING IRAQ from the most horrible of leaders in recent history. Your picture is but an obscure footnote in that history.

If you should like to inlighten me about your service record in defense of your country, I'm all ears.

Well, the target "audience" never (ever) gets to actually read the message. ;)

So they never are offended.

Actually, I would like you to enlighten us on your service record for this country. You talk all big about how civilian casualties are no big deal, I'd like to see what you would say if your family got blown up. Then you go for the conservative standard of bringing in 9/11. IRAQ HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH 9/11!!! I know that is a hard concept for a lot of you to grasp, but come on. Oh, and have you ever picked up a gun and fought for this country? Were you ever in the $hit? If not, keep your war mongering to yourself. When you put down the Big Mac and Diet Coke and pick up the gun, your "let's go to war, it's the right thing to do" opinion will have some substance.

Why yes, I have been in combat. I understand the feelings and the horror of our soldiers. I wrote my share of graffitti hither and yon and I hated the enemy at the time. Soldiers under fire can't have feelings. Their job is to kill the enemy. The questions, feelings and lifelong hurt always comes later.

Have you ever been in combat?

I have not, but I respect your opinion because you have, unlike 99.99% of the people who blindly support the carnage of war without actually experiencing it. However, I cannot agree that fear justifies ignorance or biggotry, especially when it would offend a good number of a soldier's compatriots.

Your really not worth the time, punk. But for your edification, I served in the Viet Nam war 68 Tet offensive to 71, and so did my father, 30 miles north of Da Nang. And I have been labeled a liberal for as long as I have been in this Forum, so don't confuse patriotism with conservatism. Patriotism has no political boundry. Everyone can be a patriot.

I earned the right to say what I think. I say it with authority. I say it from experience. I say it from being a first hand witness to death and destruction. I am a survivor. 76,000 of my fellow soldiers, many who where friends in high school, did not respond to you except through me. They died fighting for freedom in a foregn land. They cry out from the grave t obe heard. They want all to know the did not die in vain, but for the right for all God fearing people to live in peace. This war was no different. By the Grace of God, way fewer than any 76000 died for this cause. And by the Grace of God, Iraqi people will be free now to persue their destiny through a democratic process, and we will be there to help them all that we can.

If you don't like that answer, tough. I really don't give a sh!t.

I like that answer. I like people who can back up their beleifs, whether I agree with them or not. Just to clarify, I was not implying you have to conservative to be patriotic, I was saying that a lot of conservatives tend to be blindly patriotic. Questioning the actions of your elected offcials is not unpatriotic, it's a right we enjoy as Americans.

I would also like to point out that the pictures showcased on that site do not state whether the casualties inflicted on the civilians were caused by the Coalition or by Saddam's military. Since Saddam's military demonstrated their willingness to use civilians as shields, machinegun and mortar civilians, and use civilians in carbombings, there seems to be a disconnect in laying blame for civilian casualties on only one side. The key difference is that any civilian deaths caused by the Coalition were accidental, quite the opposite of those fighting for Saddam.

Those bomb pictures are not even related to this war.... They are from Afghanistan when we bombed the slimebag Talibanners during Rhamadan

I guess all soldiers are supposed to abide by the code of the Ninja or something??

The taliban were hiding Bin Laden and did all they could to aid him in the killing of 3000+ Americans...

If soldiers were as educated and polite as you want them to be then there wouldn't be any.

What I find disturbing is the lie of using pictures of bombs used in Afghanistan with pictures of civilians that were hurt in Iraq.

Why the need to lie in that way? How typical is that of the "Arab press" to distort the facts?

What in your opinion does it say about our armed forces?

I don't think it matters whether those bombs were dropped in Afghanistan or in Iraq, the controversy is in the blatant biggotry of our troops. If you find that acceptable, that is quite sad. Someone said that those bombs were dropped in Afghanistan during the month of Ramadan. How would you feel if 9/11 happened on Christamas day with "Merry Christmas" spray painted on the sides of the planes?

You can be certain that no other military of the face of the Earth, now or in the past, could have freed as many with so FEW civilians killed, the number would have been FAR LOWER had Saddam's men not killed their own people. What's sad is that artillery and mortars were used against civilians by Iraq's military while British forces surrounded Basra, they turned machine guns on a group of woman and children trying to cross a bridge to safety.

Do you have any pics of the woman that was hanged for waving at coalition forces?

Can you PROVE those pics are actually victims of coalition bombs? How can you be sure those are not some of the residents of Basra bombed by their own army?

The historically unparralled low amount of civilian deaths proves our Govt.'s assertation that great care was taken to minimze civilian casualties and that the most precise munitions were used for this reason along with redundant targeting procedures. We called off hundreds of missions alone due to the confirmed visual use of human shields.
