Mitchell Mormon Jr, aged 32, was gunned down outside of Church bar on Edgewood Avenue around 3am on Saturday.

At the time, he was on a date with Shaunita Walker, aged 25, who was also shot and suffered injuries to her arm.

Walker said Mormon jokingly told the man he voted for Trump.

The argument continued and the alleged shooter, identified by Walker as a Hispanic man, went around a corner, came back with a gun and began shooting.

Considering what he told him during the argument , "He (Mormon) voted for Trump and he would be gone next week" and he said this to a hispanic man. Isn't that basically hate speech?

He was not just a trump supporter, but he was hateful and threatening. I think the distinction needs to be made. You say hate speech, you get shot and killed, that's the conservative wet dream, and thankfully is being adopted by democrats.

your mind is warped to think that murder is now acceptable

Did he say that? It's not in the link. Do you have a source?

Calling it murder is making the judgment. Yes there was a death, and the circumstances define whether or not it was murder.

Threatening hate speech could potentially be a viable defense for using his gun and shooting them.

Thanks for being the poster boy for modern Democrats.

Walker says the man in the white jacket in the surveillance video, who is Hispanic, tried to talk to her as she went back into the bar to retrieve her phone.

She says he then said something disrespectful.

"And Mitchell was like, 'What did he say to you?'" she said.

She says Mormon and the man began arguing. She says Mormon jokingly told the man he voted for Donald Trump and he would be gone next week.

Let me preface this by saying any murder is wrong and the alleged murderer should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

We are going to reap the consequences from Trump trading heavily in fear, hate, and xenophobia...even if he didn't actually mean it.

He actually wasn't a supporter though.
citation on that? because, if you voted for someone, you did, indeed, support their candidacy.

Looks like drumpf and his supporters have some really funny jokes.

Or Dems need to put on their big boy pants. I know, it's all about the feels.

I don't care what the victim said. In no rationale or just society is murder the appropriate response to free speech.

I suppose in the liberal echo chamber, hate speech is punishable by death. This is why you just lost an election.

It is most definitely not punishable by any form of violence. We lost an election due to apathy and a bad candidate. And technically, we won the popular vote, by 1 million votes too, and that's still rising. But yea, the candidate and apathy put fuckface von clownstick in the oval office.

This is just normal agitation, it can get a whole lot worse.

- Minorities have been vilified.
- Muslims have been vilified.
- Christians have been vilified.
- Educated people have been vilified.

Thanks for letting Trump win a few states.

You could "jokingly" say you're going to find a rope and a tall tree to a marginalized group in America, but don't complain to me when your ass gets shot.

Yes, the hispanic guy shooting him was wrong, but what the guy said was also wrong. That we can all agree on I think.

He may have not even been a Trump supporter, but he definitely knew which buttons to push.

Those just don't cancel each other out.

People need some accountability. This was not a Trump supporter killing a non Trump supporter. This is a guy killing someone for being a Trump supporter. Let that sink in. Someone was murdered for being a Trump supporter. For all the dumb shit that Trump represents, how many people have been killed for being a Hillary supporter?

going by what the story said, it was more the threat of deportation than fact he voted for drumpf. but that is solely based on the testimony from the story.
even by that, it was a heinous act of violence and the guy should be charged to the fullest extent of the law.
