I do enjoy my free healthcare, I think that's covered every issue you raised. Sorted.

I'd rather 40% more for my first class healthcare then put up with what you do to save a few thousand each year.

I pay less than you do though since my employer covers everything. I pay maybe $50/year out of pocket.

I already established we have first class health care and you made no valid points in your last post.

I pay less than you do though since my job covers everything. I pay maybe $50/year out of pocket.

So you don't pay tax? Your company doesn't pay for your insurance, which if they didn't it would be in your wages?

I see you completely misread my comments.

I'd expect that from someone that lived upside-down, though.

Also, we have universal healthcare. We have your system, dingleberry, and we have all other systems. Don't even try...

Once again, your ignorance is amazing. You have nothing like our system.

Over gov owns the health services. i.e. Hospitals. Thats how we manage costs so well.

How many public hospitals does the US gov own?

You did? Forgive me for not taking your word on that, oh wise student with no job and hasn't even started to get out in the real world and support himself yet.

No, because then I would demand $5k more each year to cover health insurance. :D

the fire department was wrong.

BUT saying that the people that didn't pay the damn fee are idiots. while i think its insane they have to pay (i do understand why though) they should have. its not that expensive.

one of the decent size towns here closed teh fire department. The people of the town thought it would save them money. Then they got hit with this fee.

now it cost more then when they had the 2 stations lol

And they'd tell you that's why your pay is $5k more than those with insurance.

Oh my! Am I talking to Mark Zuckerberg or Bill Gates?

Oh my! Am I talking to one of the "I'm so glad to have a job I'll bend over and take it up the ass" brigade? Worthless people receive pay according their worthlessness. Since that appears to be the mentality you have...

Unless you are someone highly skilled in a very sort after position you won't be demanding any amount and getting it, yes it's easy to negotiate higher pay when you start, no you can't sit there demanding crap unless you are highly sort after.

Also I'm 23 and work at my local cinema, no I don't have the kind of position where I can demand crap. If you're 50 and a leader of industry maybe you can. But that doesn't detract from the fact that what you company are paying for your health insurance would otherwise go into your pay cheque.

That's one way to roast the chestnuts for the holiday season provided someone remembered to bring them.

The value you place on others speaks volumes about you.

You think you're immune to strife? You aren't. You'll have ups and downs in your life, get ready for it because it will happen.

I'm sure that's possible. But my company made me a great offer to stop consulting and work for them full time. If they want to let me go, so be it, I'll go back to consulting and make more than I do now.

My face literally just dropped when you said that.

The grand total for all of that stuff for me would be: £35.

And who is covering the cost differential.

Not you - you are freeloading off of others.

You chose to not pay your fair share.

So put a lien on the (now NOT burned down) property.

What's so hard about that?

Liens are often useless- we own a house in a lake community, and have a HOA solely to provide for care of the beach (making sure the sand gets raked, lawn at the beach gets mowed, trash gets picked up, etc.). To pay for that, there's like a pitifully small $20 per year fee to every house in the community.

There are *several* houses in the community that haven't paid their HOA fees in 10+ years, despite the HOA putting liens on their property. It costs too much to force them to pay it, and they can just ignore the lien as long as they don't sell the house/get a mortgage.

I haven't chosen not to, I'm not eligible to pay my fair share, when I'm older I will be, when I'm not a student I will be. It will happen.
