they don't report them cause you can't feel them. and having been through major earthquakes, i'll tell you i'd rather be in one than in the path of a tornado or hurricane any day. the worst earthquakes in recent times have knocked down a couple freeway overchanges and crappy old apartment buildings. this has happened only twice in 15 years, which is uncommonly frequent. compare to tornados, which regularly toss mobile homes around like popcorn and destroy crops, and hurricanes, which practically wipe out entire coastlines.

california voted to ban gay marriages a couple years ago. the law still stands. there is no reason to assume we'd vote any different now.

how does not supporting the rational behind a war mean californians are "against the military" or "against america?" completely aside from this momumental and offensive logical blunder, how do you know the majority of californians are even against the war? would it interest you to know that california has the largest number of military installations in the country? that as of today, ~109 californians have given their lives in iraq to protect your ungrateful ass? (sources: CNN, Fox, CBS). that's more than 1/8th the total number of americans killed. tell their families that they're "against america."

Funny to watch people bash Cali. The truth is that for the most part since 1849 the idea that is California provided a vision and lure to people living in the East that lasted well into the 20th century. As some of the more rational posters here have pointed out for almost every negative you can cite there is a counterbalancing positive. To judge an entire state of 30 million by transient political fashions of the day is at best short sighted.

So I gather by Hot Rodding you mean taking it to the track where other lives are not endangered. That's not illegal in California. Of course street racing is and unless it is done out in the desert or on roads never used in the boondocks it is moronic. It is also illegal in all 50 states.
