actually, i havent done seti in a long time, I'm not even sure how long a WU takes on this machine. (tbird 800)

I have a Pentium III, 800 MHz that has averaged 8 Hours and 52 Minutes per WU. It's a laptop and has been running SETI for several years now, non-stop. :)

Your "tbird" should do better than that. ;)

is it possssible to run multiple instances of seti at the same time on each of these machines?
You would not gain any advantage by running multiple instances of SETI on a computer with only one CPU. Now if you have a DUALIE, you can run two instances of SETI and each CPU will crunch one. :)

i also have several thousand hours of cycles on an old account. can i give them to team atot?

What are "several thousand hours of cycles"? Who is "team atot"?

:p :D

As I've written earlier, this offer is not to current producing members of TeAm AnandTech. :(

It is for New Crunchers. :D

Now if you are an "old" member of TeAm AnandTech and have stopped crunching SETI, then I'll make an exception in your case. ;)

And as TheEvil1 tried to say: :p :D

Help the TeAm!

So have the addition of the new paying members helped your ranking much?

Hi tontod,

Before, TeAm Smokeball was doing between 160 - 165 WUs @ day.

Since, TeAm Smokeball is averaging 216 WUs @ day.

TeAm Smokeball is currently #379 out of 4,519.936 Seti Searchers.

I guess that would be an improvement of about 4 places. So, yes, it has helped the rankings. :)

I'd really like to pick-up about 100 WUs @ day more. So more help is needed. ;)

If i didn't have my own existing Seti@home account, I would be jumping on this offer, as my Tbred B 1700+ @ 2.1GHz can do about 8-9 WUs/day :) Free money!!!

That's not to mention the 2.4B@2.93 that does 8 per day also! ;)
