Email your professor immediately and explain what happened. Hell, call your professor RIGHT NOW and explain what happened. You're probably screwed since you said you're behind on studying, but at least if you explain things to them, they might give you a chance to fail the test.

contact him immediately with a good excuse. even if you have to make one up... but if you do, make sure you have some kind of proof. like get your doctor to write you a note or something.

Most will say, that unless you were in the hospital, tough sheeit.

Call, anyway, hopefully they will be in a good mood.

Offer your body in exchange for a passing grade. Or an A if your hot.

/Go with honesty, if the professor says too bad, well you learned a life lesson, can't put a value on that.

Made-up excuses never work when it comes to missing college tests. Your best bet is to tell the truth and hope that karma is on your side.

Tell the truth and do it ASAP. Lying might have worked in high school, but in college they could care less about all your excuses.

Truth is probably the best option. Mind you, don't rely on that friend for a wake up call in the future:)

Bahahaha, oh so true.... But a 40% is better than a 0%.

GO NOW and talk to him. Be honest. Skoorbie did this once and showed up just after the exam in a panic and the prof just let him take it right then and there.

Contact the professor and do whatever he suggests even if it is to take the test today... Even though you're unprepared it's definately better than getting a 0.

Always reminds me of that that old professor joke about the students who claimed they had a flat tire and missed the exam. The teacher said OK and gave them the test. There was only one question (that mattered). Which tire?
