40k+ for a big, ungainly sofa? That's why we have Lexus... only less 'ungainly' and with more 'class.' No contest between these boats.I'd only pay that much if you replaced "Buick" with "BMW", "Mercedes", or "Audi".

I resemble this statement. Why on earth would ANYONE buy a Buick? Or any GM car for that matter?Originally posted by: TheEvil1
i wouldent pay $1 for any Buick
No, but then I would never pay the MSRP sticker price on any vehicle, either.Hehe, would you pay $42,000 for a 2003 Buick Park Avenue Ultra?
I would buy a Buick. I'm older than you young punks, so it would be an appropriate vehicle for me. I think this whole thread is getting blown out of proportion. You can't compare the Buick Park Avenue Ultra to a $40+K Lexus. It's apples to oranges. GM and your local Buick dealership will give tremendous discounts on the vehicle -- while the Lexus will sell much closer to the MSRP. As an example, I'm seeing new Buick LeSabres listed in the paper for $20K and the MSRP on them is high-$29K. Clearly, the Park Avenue Ultra would sell for the mid-30s or maybe even a bit lower.Originally posted by: MazerRackham

I'd rather have a Buick Park Avenue Ultra in my driveway than a $42K Ford Expedition. :Q

They sell them for so low because no one will pay full price.
