So logged in last ñight to get my cards, saw that I needed 2 wins to clear 2 quest so went to do that. Ended up needing 4 games to do so. Dear god some people must be spending excessivelly on these new cards. In the <20 bracket and first two guys are running 80%+ gvg cards. Only having mostly normal not cutting it quite so well and pretty much got trounced.

4th game was the best, against a warrior that had me down to less than 10 health but was then pretty much top decking. He had a bunch of armor and managed to shield slam my first big minion away but otherwise was able to start whittling him down. Had a taunt up so wasn't solely concentrating on killing his minion, then had a fel canon up (seemed great when I looked to add a couple of the new cards I got), which then killed my taunt after he weakened it and he then went for the face. In order to wipe his minions out, needed to hellfire and drop and inferno. Killed all 3 of his but put me real low in health now. Next turn he put out one of the new cards that has a chance to attack wrong minionn and I would need 2 turns to kill him. Lucky for me his went at my doomguard and went byebye, and my doomguard then finished him off.

I don't know why but some people just like to mess with ya behind their screens...

When you're at 2-3 HP...why to you need to effing boost a minions to 10+ just to slam it in my face, AFTER you killed some minions...

I'm perfectly fine with losing but losing against shitty teens with behavior problems is freaking annoying.

Out of courtesy and politness when my opponent is at 2 HP, I do my best to kill him with 2 damage...not freaking 16...

On a more positive topic: Bolvar suck 😛

Some quest are damage done.

There's that!

Anyways, I love Muster for Battle coupled with Avenge on turn 3 with Coin. I also love Quartermaster + Coghammer when you have at least 2-3 minions on the bard!

Cool combos with the Paladin in GvG!

i really like how gvg opened up the possibilities of decks

im having quite a bit of fun seeing what decks im facing... everyone is different, everyone is testing cards/decks, everyone is trying to make a mech deck work

The freaking Micro Machine mech minion...a 2-cost 1/2 minion that gains +1 attack at the start of each turn. Can get ugly, quickly...

I'm only at 182 wins with the Paladin...I want my golden Hero!

Micro Machine does not have Windfury. But it is extremely powerful regardless, can easily run away with a game if your opponent can't answer it in 1-2 turns.

You're right, mistook it for an other minion...but it's a PITA if you can't eliminate it quickly.

Just got the old h-stone running on my oneplus one. Performance is fine except a little video lag during the menus but no problems during an actual game. If anyone else is interested and getting it going on their non-tablet android device check this post! (no root required)
also: when you're downloading from tusfiles mirror remember to uncheck the box to "use their own download manager and get recommended downloads" as some have reported some yucky stuff getting downloaded when they forgot. (and here's the reddit thread where I found all of this info if you wanna do your own exploring)

I completely missed the radar for this game. I just watched a few angry brit videos. Ugh....I'm interested but damn do I need another addictive f2p game? 😛

SOmething tells me I would suck badly at this game. I never did much Magic playing.

its much below magic, give it a shot its fun for all ages 😀

Now I remember why I skipped it. Could be fun, if people who are same level as me weren't clearly paying for decks. After about 10 games of getting my butt handed to me by secret after secret and rare cards, pretty much rubbed me the wrong way. There's a reason there is no chat at all and you may as well be playing a bot.

P2W not my thing. :/

Used to think this exact way when I started (and still do, to a certain extent), but you'd be surprised just how well you can do with a budget deck. Great example is to watch Trump play on Mage with a new account and climb the ladder.

If you can get a constructed deck decent enough where you can farm quests and get some win streaks, you can afford Arena with gold, which puts you at even footing with anyone who plays the game. Once you start getting 7+ wins, you get enough gold to keep spamming Arena + a pack each time. That's the dream.

Derailing a bit, but this was going to be my original post, as I thought I was viewing a thread about Heroes of the Storm but since the complaint seems to be similar I'll still post (long day).

It (HOTS) was neat, but obvious that the units and such were going to be better at the higher levels that were an absolute grind fest to get to...or you could pay $9.99 for a mount...and $9.99 for a unit...and $6.99 for a skin...and $6.99 for another skin.

Blizzard kind of dropped the ball IMO on these two games in the pay ponzi scheme, I understand they have to make money but come on!

Managed to get it working on my galaxy s4. There are a few small grahical glitches but otherwise the game is running smoothly. It does however eat up so much battery charge. I think I lost around 15-20% charge per match 🙁 Ofcourse they'll likely optimize it for phones when it does come out 🙂

My main concern was it being unplayable on the small screen size of a phone, but it's working great so far.

Heh, what you don't mention is that he's a pro player who's already invested 100's if not 1000's into the game. He SHOULD be good by now. That isn't something the average person can do, let alone have the patience for. He's just there out of boredom to see if he can do it.

I mean, yea I get it, the RL model is the same way, you buy packs so whatever. Just not my thing. 2-3 out of 20 games is close but when people start throwing out gold card after gold card etc, it's not fun. It isn't a show of skill, simply luck of the draw and overall better cards at that point.

It's similar to something like poker. No matter how good you are you'll lose to someone playing random every now and then, but the best players will consistently win a lot more often.

We've talked about this in the thread a few times but the most powerful decks in constructed are still for the most part the cheap agro decks that use no legendaries and a few of the Naxx cards.

Here's a video that was on the Hearthstone subreddit this morning where a streamer talks about insanely good cheap decks that use some of the GVG cards:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qj0HCORNQV8

Hearthstone is less P2W and more P2haveoptionsonhowyouwin, you can win in F2P you just pretty much have to play agro decks or be really good at arena and get tons of packs/cards that way.

HotS has no pay to win element.

I think new players to Hearthstone will confuse seeing "rare" cards in a deck with "omg they bought their deck" when truthfully you will accumulate a ton of rares soon enough. Rares are really quite 'common' and once you improve at the game you can do well enough in arena to often earn back the price of admission in addition to the booster pack. Yeah, you're going to lose a lot when you start. But that's due far more to the fact you're new than not having legendaries out the ass.

That's not to say they're not [too] strong, but you have to know when/how to play them too.

Also a "high" rank doesn't necessarily mean new. Ranks reset monthly and decay if you don't play.

(also WTB legendary restricted/epic only league)

Just found out this is on Kindle and there is a great deal going on.

Buy 5000 Amazon Coins for $40 (20% off promotion right now).

Go in Hearthstone, buy 40 packs for $49.99 (4,999 coins).

Get 2,500 coins back.

So, for 2,499 coins, or $20 you get 40 classic packs. You can do this for the 40 and 15 pack (1,000 coins back on this one).

Pretty good deal.
